“Ya. What are you trying to do now? Humiliate me?” I’m maintaining a calm tone. Kyungsoo ain’t looking at me but instead he’s playing his bracelet.

“Shibal.”

“Did you just cursed now?” Kyungsoo said, disappointed but not surprised.

“Yes and so what? Are you going to expose me? Then go ahead. Let’s see if they’ll believe a transferree like you.” Kyungsoo smirked as he continue to play his beaded bracelet.

“What would I even do that?” I grabbed his hand to stop playing with that annoying bracelet.

“Jihyun-ssi, you surely have a bad temper. Do you?” I glared at him while tightening my grip more.

“Ya... Doh Kyungsoo... who are you exactly?” He looked straight to my eyes.

“Should I be the one asking that? Who are you exactly, Jihyun?”

“Is everthing okay here, Jihyun-ssi & Kyungsoo-ya?” Mrs. Park saw us. I immediately let go of his hand.

“Uhm nothing’s wrong, Ma’am. We are just talking some personal matters. Right, Kyungsoo-ssi?”

“We’re just having a lovers quarrel.” He replied. Whatttt did he just said?!

“Oh. Lovers quarrel? Okay then but please go inside first. We’ll be having an exam today.” Mrs. Park said. Wait? Exam on 2nd day??? Is this even serious???

“Okay class. We’ll be having a pre-exam today. All questions will be tackle within the whole s.y but we just want to know your intellectual capacity.” Audible negative responses can be heard across the room.

“Sshh quiet. The student who’ll get the highest score will be the class representative for the upcoming wizard contest. And you all know that contest is a big deal in our university, right? So let’s begin.”

“I’ll be the first place.” I whispered to Kyungsoo. He smiled. He is freaking annoying!

[ after 2 hours of examination ]

“Okay class. Good job! Your scores are fair enough. But I have here with me the student who got the highest score.”

“I’m sure that’s Jihyunie” I can hear Hyunsik’s voice.

“I’m betting on Kyungsoo oppa” Nayeon said. Ugh. What a fake friend.

“The one who got the highest score is...”

“Jihyun..Jihyun...Jihyun...jebal~” I’m silently talking to myself.

“Doh Kyungsoo!” Mrs. Park announces. Everyone started clapping and cheering.

“Our handsome Kyungsoo-ssi got a perfect score. Jihyun got the 2nd highest score with only 1 mistake. I’m very impressed.” Mrs. Park continued.

Disappointment can be clearly seen on my face. I looked at Kyungsoo and he is looking at me, as well. This punk.

[ bell rings — lunch time ]

“Kyungsoo oppa. Join us! Let’s have lunch together!” Nayeon said, cheerfully. He looked at me as if asking me if i’ll go with them.

“Hyunie will of course join us.” So Hee in.

“I have a meeting with the student council. Have your lunch without me. Enjoy.” I said in my most usual sweet tone.

“Let’s go to SC together.” Kyungsoo said while looking at me. So Hee touched Nayeon’s elbow hinting her to leave me & Ksoo alone. After they left.

“I don’t remember having a SC meeting today.” Kyungsoo broke the silence between us.

“Well... I don’t remember having you as my friend so why are you even clinging to me?” I replied, annoyed. Kyungsoo let out a silent but audible chuckle.

“Jihyunie~” he said. I glared at him. Why the hell is he calling me that way.

“2nd place isn’t bad.” I squinted my eyes.

“Shut up!” I almost shouted. I can see a curve in his lips.

“Why are you smiling now?!” He leans his head towards me.

“Because you’re cute.”
