Halloween
Infinite and the Chamber of SecretsIf Sungkyu thought, Warrington would at some point come running to him with an apology, he was strongly disappointed. Even after two weeks, the boy had not gotten off his high horse and Sungkyu was in no mood to apologise for something he hadn't done, so they somehow settled on ignoring each other.
A plus point to this was that he finally had time to make up for the missed lessons. He threw himself into his studies and caught up with his to-do notes. His parents had given them to him in a little book each year for things he was to study and delving into them had helped him in class in the past so he'd gotten used to working with it. Usually he was half finished after a month but this year, he'd already missed an entire week just due to drama and so on Halloween he was still not close to finishing.
He considered not going to the big feast that day to study but then, Hoya approached him in the library. He looked around apprehensively before he leaned over the table. „We're meeting again today after the feast."
„Today?" That was strange news. There were so many other evenings but they chose Halloween, right when the big feast took place. Hoya nodded.
„A lot of us have quidditch practise and with so many houses, it's hard to find days where everyone's free."
„Bloody quidditch!" Sungkyu growled. It always got in the way of everything and it wasn't even fun – neither to watch nor to play! It was just cold and dangerous and exhausting.
Hoya just laughed. „Anyways, we'll all leave as soon as we're finished with eating. Also..." he hesitated. „if you want you can sit with me..." There were too many indications in that sentence so Sungkyu couldn't help but sigh.
Hoya watched him for a while then got up again.
„Fights happen sometimes. That's just how it is, don't worry too much. It'll all work out in the best way possible."
Sungkyu raised his eyebrows. „Since when are you so optimistic?"
„Woohyun. He tends to say greasy stuff – better get used to it soon."

The feast was... really, it was boring. Well, the troll from last year was hard to beat, he guessed, even with the enormous pumpkins flying over their heads. They reminded Sungkyu of his conversation with Myungsoo and made him more excited for the little meet-up later. He wondered what they'd do, what they'd talk about.
As Dumbledore held a speech, Sungkyu scanned the tables for the others. Myungsoo and Sungyeol looked really excited and received quite a few stares for their bright faces. Dongwoo was always happy so nobody bothered about him. Woohyun was harder to find among the Gryffindor table and at first, Sungkyu mistook him as Harry Potter because of the dark hair but then he realised that Harry would most likely not be whispering to Sungjong.
„Actually, can you see Harry Potter anywhere?" he asked, eyes going over the long table again.
„He's at the death day party of Nearly Headless Nick." Sungkyu froze.
„The what now?" He shook his head. „Why in the world would someone celebrate the day they died? And even more so – why does Harry Potter go there?" He turned to Hoya. „And how do you know that?" Hoya regarded him with an amused expression, shrugged and got back to gnawing his chicken leg.
„You ashk doo many queshons again," he munched and reached for more.
„Bless you." Hoya offered him chicken too but Sungkyu denied as he had already stuffed himself to the top. He'd wanted to leave as fast as possible even if it meant a stomachache.
„Don't you think it's been astoundingly quiet around Harry Potter and his friends this term?" Sungkyu asked after a while. „I mean, there were news every week about him last week but I haven't heard anything since he arrived in that car." Hoya stopped eating and thought for a bit.
„It is weird."
