"Hometown"

I was still shocked from what happened today

As I walked back home, my mind felt numb and my legs, weak.

I finally arrived and as soon as I opened the door, there was Justin watching TV while Alex was on his phone

“Hey bro!” Alex waved at me

I smiled back and waved at him playfully, “What’s up?”

“I just wanted to come, as always I was bored”

Should I tell them already?

I didn’t know what to do but on the other side, our flight is tomorrow morning, so we have to prepare all of our things by now

“Ehm guys” I coughed to get their attention

They both stared at me at the same time and furrowed their brows, “What?” Justin asked

“I m-met Jennie today and-“

“Wait what?! You met Jennie?! Where?” Alex suddenly asked with his eyes widened

“She came at my work and she talked to me about something...”

“...she wants me to come with her in Korea, so that I can finally see Rosé” I finally said biting my lips

Their jaw dropped and their eyes were trembling as if they saw a ghost or something

“Whoa...you’re so lucky man” Alex said, pouting

Justin was still in trance, not believe what I just said to them

“When is your flight?” Justin asked

“Tomorrow.”

“Well...have fun bro, you really deserve it. You haven’t seen Rosé for awhile and I bet she’s been feeling the same way you do” He continued and slightly slapped my arm

I almost burst out laughing at how funny their expressions were

They looked pretty jealous.

I couldn’t resist, so I finally told them the whole story

“Oh! I forgot! Jennie wanted also you two to come in Korea!” I shouted and grabbed both of them by their shoulders 

After some seconds, they realized what I said and they both started to jump around the house, yelling continuously all over the place

“Yes! Yessss! I can finally seduce Jennie!” Alex said loudly

He’s totally crazy for her.

“Jaeden, are you serious? You’re not joking right?” Justin asked, still buzzed

I shook my head and piped “Why would I even joke about this?”

For a whole 30 minutes, we were partying between us, as if we were the only people in this world, feeling the happiness we waited for a long time.

It was 11 a.m and our flight was at 1 p.m, we were already prepared with our luggages and backpacks, ready for a new adventure and experience outside L.A

“When is Jennie coming?” Alex asked

He has been asking this question since we woke up and for sure, he couldn’t hide his excitement 

“I still don’t know-“ then I was suddenly cut off by my cellphone ringing

I saw a number I didn’t know, I picked it up and waited for someone to say something

It was silent...no one was talking and then, I finally began to hear some voices and as expected it was Jennie calling me.

“Hey Jaeden” She said

“Hi Jennie” I said back to her

“My driver is already near your dorm, I’m already heading to the airport with my manager” 

“Wait, aren’t we taking the same plane?” I asked a bit confused by the situation

“Yeah, but I can’t show up at the airport with 3 boys, you know? There’s going to be lots of paparazzis and bloggers” She sassily said and sighed

“Oh right”

“I gave the tickets to my driver and we’ll meet directly inside the airplane” She said and cut our call

When we arrived at the airport, the main entrance was filled with people and their cameras as the windows of the airport reflected their flashes

I didn’t know Blackpink was already so famous even here in America.

Even inside of the airport, paparazzis were crowding up the whole place, all trying to take a picture of Jennie

“Dude! There she is!” Alex said, pointing at her as well while hardly tapping my shoulder

She was sitting beside her manager, looking as chic as ever while staring at her phone

“Hey! I know!” I said and brushed his hand off

“Let’s go then!” He said but I suddenly grabbed him by his arm and pulled him near me

“What’s wrong Jaeden?!” He scoffed loudly

Right then, I slapped the back of his head and whispered, “Alex, do you see how many paparazzis are there? They can’t see us with her, we’re going to just cause trouble!” 

Right then, my phone rang and I already knew it was a message from her

From : Jennie

“Where are you all?”

“We are already here at the airport, we can see you surrounded by all those reporters” I typed

“Yeah, see you then” she replied 

As both of my friends were looking around them, my eyes were stuck on Jennie and how uncomfortable her expression was

Her eyes were looking for something and finally our eyes met

She brushed her hair with her hands and smiled a bit, not wanting to attract too much attention over us.

“See you later” I mouthed and followed Justin and Alex who were going to check-in

“Passport please” the woman working said

I handed her my passport and made my way to the waiting area where no reporters or any kind of paparazzi could enter

As always, Jennie was already in place, relaxed and at peace

“Oh! Jaeden here!” She said, standing up and waving her hand towards me 

My eyes widened, fearing someone might see us

I walked towards her direction and asked confused, “Didn’t you say we don’t have to be seen together?”

“Relax...no one knows me here, did you look around? They are all old people, they probably don’t even know me” she sighed in relief

Then her eyes fell on my two friends who were hiding behind me, embarrassed

“Hi, nice to meet you two!” She said with a bright smile

Justin was the first one to shake her hands and introduce himself but Alex was so shy, he was unable to express himself or even just say his name

I gently pushed him and made him introduce himself

“H-H-Hi, I’m A-Alex” he stuttered while I noticed his ears were becoming more red as seconds passed by

“Oh, you were that one guy screaming my name near the stage, right?” She asked

He turned to Justin’s and my direction and asked, “Seriously?! Did I scream that much, Rosé said the same thing!”

Jennie couldn’t help but laugh and that action, for sure, made Alex feel more relaxed and less stressed out
