"Goodbye"

“What are we exactly?” 

The room was dead silent and the only thing I could probably hear was my heart beating faster than ever.

She didn’t actually answer me, instead she just turned back to me and slowly bent her self down at my height as she leisurely circled my neck, hugging me tightly

“I-I still d-don’t know Jaeden” she stuttered while I felt her tears wetting my neck

“I know that when I’m with you, I feel happy and I forget about everything surrounding me...and most of all, I feel safe and I wanted to thank you for that” she weakly said

She let go of me while I stared at her, wanting to say those three words but...I was just a coward and afraid of how she would react.

She’s an idol and we live in totally different worlds

I’m just a normal guy with a normal life, normal friends and family while she was someone so different from me and just like water and oil, we were...incompatible.

She put on her clothes and finally walked her way out of my room, leaving me alone.

It was just 8 o’ clock in the morning when I got up from my bed, prepared myself and went out to meet my two friends

“Hey dude! What the hell happened to you?!” Justin asked pointing at my dark circles around my eyes

“I didn’t sleep last night, I was thinking deeply about something” I lied

I hate lying to him but I can’t tell him what really happened

“By the way! Jaeden did you know that Blackpink is actually staying in this hotel?!” Alex asked excitedly

I gulped and faintly smiled, “Oh really?”

They both nodded and said “Imagine meeting them here”

“Yeah right, in your dreams” I sarcastically said and laughed nervously

“Alex, what time do we leave tomorrow?” I asked as I ate my ice cream while we were all walking down the crowded streets of New York

“At 10 a.m, you better sleep Jaeden or you’ll seriously transform into a panda” he laughed and continued eating his ice cream

As we continued walking through the streets, exploring the magical city of New York, suddenly my phone rang and it was a message from her.

From : Rosé❤️

“Are you mad at me? :(“

Was I? Maybe not or maybe she was right. 

I wasn’t mad at her, I was mad at me for making myself believe in impossible things.

At the same time, I hated the fact that I made her feel that way, thinking I was mad at her for something she actually didn’t do in purpose

“For what?” I typed waiting for her answer

“For everything that happened, especially this morning” she said

She must feel guilty, I thought.

“Don’t worry, I already forgot about it.” I coldly said 

After responding, she took a while before finally typing in “Are you free this afternoon?”

“I think so. I’ll just start to pack my bags and then I guess, I’m free for the whole day, why?”

“I still want to see you”

My heart couldn’t stop racing at the thought of her missing me.

And the more I thought about it, the more I was smiling like a fool in front of my friends

“Jaeden, what the is wrong with your face?” Justin said while shaking his hands in front of my face, thinking I spaced out 

“Yeah man, who are you messaging?” Alex asked with eyes full of curiosity 

I shook my head and hid my cellphone’s screen from both of them, shaking my head, “No one” I said as I continued eyeing our chat.

“Want to meet somewhere?” I asked

“Let’s meet at the bar inside the hotel” she said and left the chat

“Are you going somewhere this afternoon?” Justin asked sitting on my couch

“Maybe, I don’t know” I said

“Dude, you’re getting so prepared, I don’t think you’ll just stay here tonight” He said, looking at me in a weird way

The sense of excitement and anxiety were mixing up together, confusing me between being happy or be nervous.

“It seems like you have a date though” he suddenly said

“I’m not Justin, stop saying that.” I firmly said as I run my fingers trough my hair, fixing it

“Relax, I was just saying” he said and got up from the couch, making his way out of my room, “I have to go, Alex said he wanted to go eat in that nearby steakhouse”

He closed the door and left. Silence was the only thing that filled the whole space around me.

As soon as I got prepared, I took a last glance of myself into the mirror and quickly went out with a big smile on my face, searching for the hotel’s bar

"Good afternoon sir, want to order something?” the waitress gently asked while handing me the menu

I shook my head and blinked, ”I’m still waiting for someone, maybe later”

Many minutes have passed until they became 30, arriving to 1 hour...

She was 1 hour late and still not showing, what happened?

Feeling a bit disappointed and worried, I decided to call her personally and check up on her “Hello?” I said 

“Oh hey Jaeden...” she said sounding a bit off

“Where are you Rosé? I’m here at the bar” 

“I’m sorry, I can’t come. My manager said I can’t go out” she said as her voice cracked

“Hey are you crying?” I asked to make sure

“N-No” she stuttered and her voice faded a bit

“Don’t cry, want me to visit you?” I asked knowing she would probably say no 

I bet her manager will kill me if he saw me

“C-Can you?” She suddenly repeated

“Of course, where’s your room?”

“Last floor, room number 1102”

Oh wow, they are on the most luxurious floor...well, I shouldn’t even be surprised

“Okay wait there”

When I arrived on the last floor, I noticed a big and spacious hallway with different rooms on my right and left

As I was trying to find Rosé’s room, I felt someone walking behind me.

I couldn’t turn back, instead I decided to stop in the middle of the hallway and all of a sudden I felt something bumping into me

“Oh my god! Ouch!” A girly voice yel
