The moment Haeyoung arrived, she was rushed to get her make-up ready, and her hair styled. Feeling a little dazed from her nap in the car ride, she sipped some bitter coffee while her stylists hovered around her, dressing her up for the surprise. She hears that Eunhyuk had arrived, and asked someone to deliver the clothes to him.

When she was dressed up in a pair of jeans and a simple loose shirt, she adjusts her mic. She clears and drinks a whole water bottle. She hides behind the staff, cautiously trying to get a glimpse of Eunhyuk, but he is nowhere to be seen.

She loves singing, and this was her dream. However, she has always been a little shy performing in front of people, no matter how much training she received to deal with these kinds of stuff. She tends to get nervous, and sometimes it makes her hands numb, or closes up and she is unable to deliver.

What good is a main vocal in a group when she can’t even sing when it matters the most?

A camera approaches her, and she immediately fixes her face.

Question: What did you had in mind for the surprise?

Haeyoung pressed her lips together, and gave a small smile. “I’m not really talented in a lot of things. When hosts ask if I have a skill to show, I always end up making a fool out of myself. However, I only have singing. I hope that I can touch his heart with my voice.”

Eunhyuk stared at the outfit that Haeyoung picked out. His eyes cannot believe what he is seeing. Is this suppose to be a prank? It’s atrocious. It’s not his style at all. He likes to think that he is a guy with simple wants, but this is...he’s speechless.

He puts it on anyways because Haeyoung, because she must’ve put an effort to do this.

After putting on the outfit, he quickly walks out to the area where they are suppose to have the date. The staff is already preparing. There was a picnic blanket among others, and a basket that must have all the food. A live band is singing nearby, and some people were either relaxing or watching him.

He sits down on the blanket, looking around for signs of Haeyoung, but she is nowhere to be seen. She is also late.

The director signals, and the filming starts again. Eunhyuk opens the basket and begins to prepare the picnic. The afternoon sun isn’t bad, and he was glad that they were under a shade. He pours the wine, and sets out the sandwiches, looking for Haeyoung at the same time.

Suddenly, the live band stops playing. Eunhyuk looks up, and he sees Haeyoung walking across the stage, her head down.

Then, she puts a mic on the stand, and scanned the crowd. Haeyoung finds him, and gasps. She looks at Eunhyuk with shock. Her eyes were wide, and was slack. She freezes, and Eunhyuk realizes that it’s not because of the crowd, it’s because of the outfit.

Haeyoung gasped. That outfit is terrible. How could she let Donghae pick that! She should’ve at least taken a peak.

The people who were looking at her expectantly murmured in confusion.

Get a grip, Haeyoung, there are cameras.

She signals for the band to play, and she counts off the beats in her head. She starts to sing, and immersed herself into lyrics that she could not remember memorizing, but here she is. This for her bias. She ignores the outfit, and just focused on Eunhyuk’s gaze.

The song had ended, and people cheered for her.

“Um…” She starts. “This is a ballad. This is the song that let me become an idol. However, it has lovely lyrics that I never thought that I could relate to, until now.”

Haeyoung starts to sing Lee Sunhee’s Meet Him Among Them. The crowd cheers.

Question: How did Haeyoung’s surprise made you feel?

Eunhyuk his lips, and then he nods, a soft expression on his face. “I’ve never had a person do that for me. I was little surprised at the outfit, but I think her performance made up for it. I can’t wait to see her on the dress that I picked out.”

Haeyoung bolted out of that stage, not even caring that the cameras are hurrying after her. She wants to bury herself right now. This is so embarrassing. Her stylist immediately approaches her and presents a dark colored dress, and suddenly, she’s in a new outfit with a pair of pumps, and expensive looking jewelry.

“What’s this for?” She asks, feeling the soft detail on the dress.

“That’s the outfit Eunhyuk picked out for you,” her stylist replies.

Haeyoung crumples inside. This looks like he did a lot of consideration.

Worst fake wife in the history of fake wives. She thinks.

“Haeyoung?” She hears Eunhyuk call.

“Oh god,” Haeyoung groans, and she hides behind one of her stylists.

“Haeyoung?”

She covers her face, when Eunhyuk saw her. He smiles, and something like pride showed in his eyes. Like he was coming to meet his own daughter who received an award.

“Are you okay?”

Haeyoung laughs, embarrassed. “Oppa, I’m so sorry, that outfit is...horrible.”

Eunhyuk shakes his head. “No, no, it’s okay.”

“No, really. I should’ve came with Donghae sunbaenim when he picked it out,” Haeyoung confesses.

Eunhyuk laughed, and takes a mental note to bring it up with Donghae as soon as he comes home.

Picnic forgotten, Eunhyuk suggests to just take a mini-food tour.

“It’s fine,” Haeyoung said. She glances at her manager warily. She loves eating but….she's on a strict diet, and she has an image to keep.

Eunhyuk saw the direction she was looking at. “Let her eat. I’ll take full responsibility.”

Haeyoung turns to Eunhyuk with something like admiration in her eyes.

With a heavy stomach that she hasn’t felt for a long time, Haeyoung enters Eunhyuk’s car. Cameras were already installed in front of her. Eunhyuk straps himself on the driver’s seat, and reaches across to do the same for her. Her heart flutters, and covers her face.

“Are you falling for me?” Eunhyuk asks in a playful tone.

Haeyoung smiles, glad that her confident side is coming back. “I’ve fallen for you ever since I saw you.”

Eunhyuk giggled, and leans forward. Aigoo...this kid.

“Ahjussi…”

“Brat.”

“What are we doing now?”

“Just driving. Enjoy the night. Do you not want to do that?”

“No, I’d like that.”

Haeyoung lets the silence go on. Then the corner of her lips start to point up. “Thank you for everything today.”

Eunhyuk glances at her. “Well...I can’t promise to always make you happy, but I know I can make you enjoy the moment.”

Donghae leans his head back on his headboard. He shouldn’t care. It shouldn’t matter. He opens Hyukjae’s number, and reads his text.

I love you.

Donghae suddenly feels like leaping around the house, or rather their house. He types his reply.

I love you~ to the moon and back. Come home safely.
