Haeyoung wakes up to food being cooked for breakfast. She goes downstairs and finds Eunhyuk scrambling eggs on a pan. The cameras are rolling, and a man in the corner is holding an audio box. She pastes a bright smile on her face-the one that she was trained to keep up.

“Morning,” she greets Eunhyuk shyly. She slides into a seat, and starts to peel an orange in silence.

Eunhyuk yawns and pours the breakfast on a plate. Haeyoung stands up to get drinks, but Eunhyuk was already pouring her a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

“Oh, thank you.” She pours a generous amount of cream and sugar. Eunhyuk chuckles.

A camera approaches them with a little envelope.

Eunhyuk takes it up and opens it. He reads it out loud. They will be shopping for each other’s outfit for tonight’s date night.

“Ahjussi, what’s your style?” Haeyoung asks, blowing on her cup.

Eunhyuk lets out a little chuckle. “Well, what’s gonna be our theme? Let’s dress up in a way that can pass for any occasion.”

“Oh, since we don’t have any clue what’s gonna happen.”

“Yeah. Let’s just surprise each other.”

Haeyoung wants to make it clear to everyone watching them that there is no beef between her and Donghae. There is no rivalry, or anything close to a “love” triangle. She loves Eunhyuk, but as an idol. She’s not in love with him.

“I’m going to text his best friend,” Haeyoung prompts. “They know more about each other than I do.”

Hello, Donghae sunbaenim. I need advice for buying Eunhyuk oppa’s clothes.

Haeyoung holds out her phone to the camera to show her text. A few seconds later, Donghae had replied.

“Oh,” Haeyoung says to alert the cameras of what’s happening. She reads it quickly and then shows it again.

Where are you? I can meet you and we can decide.

Haeyoung quickly types the location of the mall, and puts her phone away.

Question: What are you planning to surprise your wife with?

Eunhyuk smiles before answering. “I consider myself as someone who would do huge things, and go to romantic places. I also want to take her out driving, because I feel like we’d connect more if we spend time in a close space.”

Donghae spots Haeyoung and waits for her. He lets the staff put a mic on him. A camera is already assigned to him. Haeyoung walks towards him, her hands tucked inside her coat pockets.

“Hello,” she greets, and bows casually.

Donghae stops her. “No, no please. We’re in-laws now.” He wants to spit from the bitter taste from his mouth.

Another reason to hate her: she can hold hands with Eunhyuk in public, and they’re not even real.

They walk into the mall with a throng of people consisting of staff members and some fans.

“So, what does Eunhyukkie oppa like to wear?” Haeyoung asks in a careful tone.

“Mostly like simple things...how about I pick his outfit for him, and you go buy a gift for him?” Donghae suggests.

Haeyoung pretends to think about it. “Okay, I’ll trust you, you’re his friend.”

Donghae is crumpling inside. However, there’s a hundred ways of handling this.

Eunhyuk takes the time to pick a nice burgundy dress, and a pair of pumps to go with it. He makes sure that the shoes aren’t too uncomfortable by trying it out and even asking one of the writer noonas to walk in them. He picks a jacket that could also go with it, just in case she might get cold. He also thinks of getting accessories, like a pair of dangling earrings, and a cute necklace that has little studs of diamonds on it.

He had always wanted to do this for his own daughter, but for now, there’s Haeyoung.

Donghae grins at the camera while picking a ridiculous pair of khaki baggy jeans completed with low hanging belts. Since he already knew that Hyukjae just puts on ripped jeans and a button up shirt these days, he’s planning to buy exactly the opposite of that. Today he’s buying him a black, tattered shirt with ripped lace as sleeves, and a plaid collar.

Donghae turns away and hides it from the cameras and cackled diabolically.

Haeyoung checked her watch. She knows that Eunhyuk loves sweets, so she bought him a lot of chocolate from a fancy chocolate store. She also bought him a perfume that just came out recently. She knew she had little money to spare, but she’s been spending money for Super Junior the moment she’s able to earn it.

She spots Donghae in the distance and stands up. She waves at him and offers him a smile.

When he gets near, Donghae hands her a couple of shopping bags.

“Do you want to go there together?” She asks.

“No,” Donghae replies a little too quickly.

Haeyoung shrugs and makes her out of the mall. She texts the staff that she will be there a little early to make a nice preparation for Eunhyuk. She smiles softly, thinking of how he will react at the surprise that she has prepared with the staff.

She rides in silence, feeling her head nod off.
