Donghae frowns at the TV. He shouldn’t be watching like Heechul hyung had said, but he could not help it. He has to see her, and come up with reasons why she is a terrible person. Heechul hyung had said that this was a terrible reason to get over this unexpected event, but Donghae really just wants to assess her aka Eunhyuk’s new wife in the stupid series We Got Married. If anyone was to be married, it would be the two of them. Not some doe-eyed, long-haired, slim and fair girl that can literally be found among any girl groups.

Why her?

No, the better question is, why Eunhyuk? He should’ve said no. Donghae should have argued with him more.

Donghae’s frown deepens, as she giggles over the nickname world-class anchovy. She looks at the camera, her eyes-perfect and very Korean in terms of beauty standards-twinkled. Like twinkled as in sparkled. Donghae wants to kick something. She literally is everything Korean men would want to date. What if Eunhyuk falls for her?

His phone rings.

“Yes, hyung?”

“Control your jealousy. I can actually feel your aura all the way into my own apartment. I told you that this is fake and scripted, and Hyukjae loves you. Stop being a teenage girl and get over it.”

Donghae’s eyes focuses on the screen, feeling like he was a kettle reaching its boiling point. Everything Heechul had said went through the other ear. He glares at the girl and Eunhyuk, who are now holding hands. In the first episode.

“Give me a second.”

“Ya-”

Donghae hangs up. He squints at their joint hands. This is not okay.

Eunhyuk fiddles with the edge of his shirt nervously. Filming for the second episode is starting, and he is full of nerves just thinking of all the couple stuff that he has to do. Don’t get him wrong, Park Haeyoung is such a lovely girl, but she is ten years younger. He literally cannot converse with her properly. He likes that she is such a huge fan of Super Junior, but he can’t help but wonder how a certain member would react to the two of them.

Speaking of that certain member...his phone has been vibrating non-stop.

Haeyoung arrives in a pretty outfit, and her hair was styled with wavy curls. If he wasn’t in love with anyone, he would probably drool over her, and actually make a sincere effort of being “married.”

The cameras start to roll. Today, before they move into their WGM home, they are going shopping for house things.

Haeyoung is a playful kid. She was friendly, and she smiles easily. Eunhyuk doesn’t mind filming with her since she makes the atmosphere around them easy.

Eunhyuk drives them to a grocery store.

“Formalities aside, what should I call you?” Haeyoung asks. At least her voice wasn’t too girly, she talks in a deep and natural kind of way. “Oppa? Husband? Dad?”

Eunhyuk laughs. “Ya, you make me sound old.”

“Ah, I know,” Haeyoung exclaims. “My old man.”

Eunhyuk sighs.

“It’s okay, though? Large age-gaps are common in relationships.”

Eunhyuk chuckles and covers a part of his face with one hand. “You make it sound like I’m twenty years older than you.”

“Hm, I can’t say I don’t agree.”

They arrive in the grocery store, keeping a respectful and awkward space between them. Cameramen followed them, getting close up shots of their expressions and body language. Haeyoung skips to fetch a grocery cart, and rides it in full speed to catch up with Eunhyuk, who was examining a bunch of fruits.

“Old man,” Haeyoung calls in a teasing tone.

Eunhyuk closes his eyes and sighs like his energy suddenly drained. “Brat,” he retaliates.

Haeyoung giggles like an adorable child. “I don’t know how to cook.”

Eunhyuk purses his lips. “I don’t either.”

They look at the cameramen helplessly.

Haeyoung’s eyes brighten at an idea. “Let’s buy ramen and just cook it! And some beef!”

“Kimchi!” Eunhyuk adds. “And beer? Can you drink, or are you underage?”

“Really?” Haeyoung snickers.

Haeyoung hops on the cart, and Eunhyuk pushes it, careening towards the instant foods aisle.

She reaches for the spicy ramen, and the ramen that is not spicy, like the chicken-flavored ones. Eunhyuk moves the cart, and pushes it quickly, so when he has to stop, he has to pull on it with effort.

“Ya,” Eunhyuk jokingly says. “Get off, I’m getting tired.”

“Of course, anything for my old man,” Haeyoung replies. Her eyebrows raise in that triumphant way.

They were a witty couple, and managed to get the program to pay for they groceries. They only thought of getting food. The commenters exclaims and reacts by gasping, or laughing, and calling out a few points that exaggerates how well they play with each other. They were supposed to portray a witty couple.

“Oh, that’s a good husband,” one of them expresses as Eunhyuk takes the grocery bags from Haeyoung.

The scene cuts to Haeyoung’s point of view. She giggles and smiles happily. She puts both of her hands on her cheeks to calm herself.

“Ah, as expected from Eunhyuk oppa,” she says with a gentle tone. “He’s actually my favorite member.” Haeyoung chuckles. “He thinks I like Yesung sunbaenim, but I’m going to let him think that for a while.”

Donghae rolls his eyes at the way Hyukjae is holding her hand while she balanced herself on a ledge. He wants to hurl his insides out.

“They have no chemistry!” Donghae complains to absolutely no one. “Honestly, why is this show, aish, jinja….”

He could cry right now. He could call Hyukjae right now, and act butthurt. He knows he would answer him in the middle of filming if he really pushes it.

Calm the down Donghae, he thinks to himself. It’s a show.

Then, Haeyoung loops an arm around Hyukjae’s and presses her cheek on his shoulder. It doesn’t escape his notice that she was just the right height for him. Just right to nuzzle her head on his chest, and just enough to tilt her head and kiss him.

It’s just a show.
