Chapter 8

Yuri was sitting on the dinner table feeling distressed. Tiffany noticed and approached the gloomy latter.

“What’s wrong Yuri?”

“Nothing..” She shook her head.

Tiffany sat down next to Yuri and made her look straight into the eyes.

“I know there is something wrong. It’s okay, you can always tell me anything” Spoken in a soft voice.

“.... Well... I just found out my Appa won’t make it to my graduation”

“Oh, Yuri.. I’m so sorry to hear that”

“I don’t have anyone coming for me” The poor girl wept.

Tiffany held Yuri in her arms and caressed her back.

“It’s okay Yuri, I’ll come for you”

Yuri was cleaning around the mansion when Yoona appeared in front of her.

“Got any plans this weekend?”

“Yes,” She continued to sweep the floor.

“What is it?”

“My graduation on Friday”

Graduation on Friday? That’s tomorrow -Yoona thought.

Tiffany went out that day to buy flowers. She came back with an expensive, beautiful bouquet.

“What’s this for?” Yoona asked.

“Something special” She nonchalantly replied.

“Yuri’s graduation?”

“Yes? How do you know?”

“She told me”

“The poor girl has none of her family members going so I decided to”

Tiffany was proudly smiling at the bouquet of flowers.

“Wait, how come?”

“Her Appa wasn’t able to make it”

Yoona had thought of something.

The Next Day,

Yuri got ready at Taeyeon’s house.

“Yuri-ah! I can’t believe we are graduating” She said while applying makeup on herself.

“Me either, time flies by so quick!”

They both wore their robes and cautiously placed their hats on their heads.

Taeyeon then drove to their school where everyone was crowded around the sports car that had arrived.

“So many people came” Yuri wondered.

During the ceremony, everyone that was called up had gotten loud cheers from their family members and friends. However, when Yuri was called up, it was silent. Until a voice was heard from far in the crowd.

“WOOO!!! KWON YURI!!!” Tiffany had screamed as the crowd followed along and clapped.

Yuri immediately blushed in embarrassment.

Tiffany then quickly ran away from the herd of fans that were chasing after her.

Yuri giggled and was congratulated by her professors.

After the ceremony ended, everyone went to their families and friends to take pictures.

Yuri walked with Taeyeon to find her family.

“Taeyeon-ah!! I’m so proud of you honey” Her mother exclaimed.

“Oh Umma, thank you so much, but I wouldn’t have done it without you” She gave her mother a warming hug.

Yuri stood there with an awkward smile. She was happy for everyone else but wished her family was there for her as well.

“Yuri” A familiar voice from behind had called.

Yuri turned around, “Yoona?”

“Hey, congratulations” She handed a bouquet of flowers with a delightful smile.

“T-Thank you” She shyly received.

Yuri was surprised as the latter pouted how Yuri had reacted.

I thought she would be happier -Yoona thought

“It seems like you didn’t want me to come”

“No that’s not it. I just didn’t expect you to be here”

“Why wouldn’t I?”

“I thought you wouldn’t care enough to”

“I care a lot about you” Yoona confessed.

Yuri immediately felt affection for the latter.

“Yuri-ah!” Tiffany called.

“Tiffany” She turned with a bright smile

“I’m so sorry, these fans are just after my life”

Yuri giggled, “Don’t worry about it, I’m just happy you came”

Tiffany held one of Yuri’s hand and gave out her bouquet of flowers on the other.

“For you” Tiffany grinned.

“Thank you so much, Tiffany, but you really didn’t need to”

“Of course I did, but congratulations, you look gorgeous today”

Yuri blushed as Yoona could easily tell.

“I think you’re more beautiful,” Yoona said all of a sudden.

Yuri and Tiffany turned to the latter.

“Thank you, Yoona..?” She said with confusion, but was pleased with what she heard.

“Since when were you here?” Tiffany asked.

“I came for Yuri” Yoona responded cooly and turned to the graduated girl.

“Yuri-ah, who’s bouquet do you like more? Mine or Tiffany’s?” Yoona asked.

“Why does everything need to be a competition to you?” Yuri said.

“Because, just answer”

She extended a sigh, “Umm.. I think both are really nice” Yuri faced towards her bouquet of flowers in her hands.

“She obviously likes mine a lot more,” Yoona said proudly.

“I never said that” Yuri added.

“Tiffany’s bouquet of flowers are all pink though” She crossed her arms

“But they are nice”

“Hmph”

Yuri and Tiffany both shook their heads.

“She’s a stubborn one” Tiffany whispered.

Yuri giggled.

“I’ll be back, I have to do something real quick” Tiffany waved and ran off.

Yuri and Yoona were left behind. It was quiet between them.
