Chapter 23

Taeyeon opened the door to see the girl with swollen eyes.

She was immediately hurt by the sudden sight, “Tiffany..”

“Come inside”

After Tiffany had gathered herself together, the two began to talk.

“What happened to you?” She handed a tissue box.

“Yuri broke up with me”

“...For Yoona?”

Tiffany nodded and blew her nose.

“I’m so sorry”

The latter stayed quiet.

“It’s okay, I’m here for you” She hugged the upset girl.

“Thank you, Taeyeon”

They broke off the hug, “How about we do something fun to get her off your mind?” Taeyeon smiled with the change of mood.

“Sure” However, the latter was still distressed.

“Where are we going?” Tiffany asked.

“To a skating rink”

“But I don’t even know how to skate”

Taeyeon chuckled, “Me either”

At the skating rink, the two received their ice skates and had put them on. Taeyeon noticed the latter was struggling to tie her skates properly.

“Here, let me help you” She offered.

Taeyeon kneeled down towards the girl and tightened the laces.

“Is it too tight?” Taeyeon asked.

“No, it’s perfect”

Taeyeon proceeded to tie the laces as Tiffany watched the girl from above.

“All done” She stood up.

“Thank you”

“Yeah no problem, let’s go skate now”

The two were on the ice rink as Tiffany could feel herself being unstable.

“T-Taeyeon” She called for, as she was about to fall.

Taeyeon caught the girl just in time, “Be careful, you could fall and hurt yourself”

“I’m scared”

“Hold onto me”

Tiffany held closely against the latter. They carefully strolled their way around the rink at a very low pace.

“Do you want to try to skate now?”

Tiffany nodded, “I’ll try”

The two began to separate but were still holding onto each other’s hand.

Tiffany slowly progressed her way to a higher speed, “You’re doing great!” Taeyeon exclaimed proudly. Then, she started to let go of Tiffany’s hand.

“Taeyeon!” She shouted.

Taeyeon giggled and immediately held onto the latter.

“Why did you let go?” She playfully slapped the girl.

Taeyeon rubbed her arm, “Ow! You were doing so well though”

“What if I fell?”

“Then I would’ve helped you get back up…. After I finished laughing at you” She teased.

“Yah!”

Taeyeon continued to laugh uncontrollably.

“So mean” Tiffany pouted.

“I’m sorry, let’s continue”

After a while of being comfortable with the activity, the two decided to stop holding onto each other.

Taeyeon noticed the latter still wasn’t feeling herself and decided to show off a quick move.

“Tiffany watch me”

The girl watched as she held onto the side. Suddenly, an unexpected burst of laughter had come out of Tiffany, after the latter had unintentionally fallen onto her .

Taeyeon humulitatedly sat there as she felt the spotlight was directly on her. People skated by and quietly giggled.

Tiffany felt bad as she carefully skated to the girl and helped her up.

“Taeyeon, are you okay?” She asked worriedly.

“Y-Yeah, I’m good” She lied as her bottom was still sore.

Tiffany wiped the ice off of Taeyeon’s that made the girl blush madly.

“Thank you”

“Do you want to take a bit of a break now?”

“Yes please” She groaned while holding onto her bottom.

Tiffany giggled at the latter’s actions.

“Did it hurt?”

“Hell yeah it did, I’m surprised you haven’t fallen yet”

“Don’t underestimate me” She teased.

Although Taeyeon made a complete fool out of herself, she was at least satisfied to make the girl smile once.

As soon as Taeyeon sat down on her car, she cried in pain.

“My ,” She said irritated.

Tiffany couldn’t hold back her laughter.

“Yah! It’s not funny, I don’t have a now”

The girl laughed even harder from Taeyeon’s statement.

How could Taeyeon resist smiling at the happy girl?

After the two had arrived back at Taeyeon’s house, Tiffany laid on the couch in exhaustion.

“Are you hungry?”

“Mmh” Tiffany nodded.

“You want pizza? I don’t wanna cook”

“I’m fine with that”

“Okay”

After Taeyeon made the order, she grabbed her jacket and was about to leave.

“Where are you going?” Tiffany asked.

“I’m going to go pick up the pizza”

“Why didn’t you just make them deliver?”

“I need to get something on the way. Take a nap or something, I’ll be back shortly”

Tiffany nodded as the latter left the house.

On the way to pick up the pizza, Taeyeon stopped at a supermarket and strolled through the ice cream aisle.

Hmm.. what flavour would she like? -Taeyeon thought.

She debated while looking at the variety of flavours, but ended up buying all.

While waiting to pay for the ice cream, she stopped upon the movie Secretary.

Didn't Tiffany say this was her favourite movie? -Taeyeon thought.  

She picked up the movie and bought it as well.
