Chapter 16

Yuri woke up with swollen eyes. She could barely open them, but checked her phone to see unread messages from Tiffany. 

“Morning Yuri-ah, could we get coffee this morning? I need to tell you something” Tiffany texted. 

“Sure, give me time to get ready” Yuri replied.

Tiffany immediately texted back, “Gotcha :)”

Tiffany was driving themselves to the coffee shop. 

“How are you feeling?” 

“I’m a lot better”

“That’s great to hear”

They entered the store. 

“What do you want to get?”

“I don’t really drink coffee”

“Don’t worry, I have something for you in mind” Tiffany smiled. 

“Find a seat and I’ll join you later”

Yuri nodded and sat down at a table. 

Tiffany came back with two cups of coffee and a charming grin on her face. 

“What did you get me?”

“Vanilla Latte, I assume you wouldn’t want anything bitter”

Yuri took a sip and made a dreadful expression.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s hot, I think I burnt my mouth”

Tiffany chuckled, “Be careful alright? How do you like it?”

“It’s good” Yuri gently took another sip, “So, what was that you wanted to tell me?”

“Ah yes, about that” Tiffany hesitated. 

“Um.. so you remember that kiss we had yesterday”

They both blushed. 

“Although I said I wasn’t thinking when I acted that way, the kiss was very special to me”

Yuri couldn’t find a way to respond. 

“Do you regret kissing me that night?”

“....”

“It’s okay, you can be honest”

“No,” Yuri said all of a sudden.

“Hm?”

“No, I don’t regret it” 

Yuri wasn’t sure what she was saying.

“Yuri… you’re a very important friend to me and I would do anything to make you happy. I hope you know that”

“Tiffany, of course, I do. I would do exactly the same for you as well”

A smile appeared on the latter’s face but suddenly faded away. 

“I don’t know if this will affect our friendship, but the real reason why I wanted us to meet is that I needed to confess my feelings.. for you” 

Tiffany didn’t give the latter the time to reply.

“I know you’re in a bad situation to hear this, but I couldn’t wait”

“Well Tiffany, to be honest, I’ve always liked you from the start” 

Tiffany was surprised. 

“You were so caring, and you treated me better than most people in my life ever did” 

“I was just never confident enough to confess to you. I never thought you would feel the same for someone like me”

“Yuri, don’t say that about yourself. You’re really an amazing person, who wouldn’t fall for you?” She placed her hand on the latter’s. 

Tiffany couldn’t stop grinning. 

“Why are you smiling?” Yuri embarrassingly asked.

“Your story made my heart flattered” 

“Aigoo” Yuri playfully slapped Tiffany’s arm. 

“Ow! You know that hurt” She cutely pouted which made the latter smile. 

“I need to get back to work now” 

“Let’s go” Tiffany held Yuri’s hand. 

Yuri turned red, “W-What are you doing,” She said shyly. 

“What? Can I not do this?”

The latter didn’t answer as they walked to the car. 

While Yuri was drinking her coffee, Tiffany suddenly stopped the car which caused the girl to spill it all over herself. Tiffany burst out laughing. 

“Yah! It’s not funny”

“I’m sorry, here” Tiffany handed out a box of tissues. 

“Your car is dirty now”

“It’s fine, I’ll get it clean”

“Aish, my coffee” 

They continued to drive back to the mansion. 

Yuri changed herself into cleaner clothes and began her work. She was doing the laundry that afternoon when she noticed Yoona was around and ignored her as if she wasn’t present. They made eye contact, but Yuri immediately looked away. 

Please don’t come over. -Yuri thought. 

Yoona started to approach the girl as she tried to act as if everything was normal. 

“Yuri” Yoona called.

“Yes..?”

“Could we please talk...”

“I’m really busy right now” 

“How about later?”

“I’m also busy then”

“Um.. when are you not busy
