A week has passed, yet the news about the very popular transferee was still the talk on their school. 
Jennie Kim.
The hot, very charismatic, y but cute transferee. Everyone was gushing about her except one.

Wendy was alone at their school's old laboratory room, which was located at the fourth floor of their old science building. A place that is rarely visited by students.

She's thankful that the school did not bother to demolish the building. The place was perfect for her quality time alone.

She was looking at the bright sky through the large window, humming a tune that perfectly fits her mood. Broken.

The revelation was still fresh to her mind, she remembered every detail of it. She was not informed beforehand to guard her heart the moment Irene dropped the bomb yesterday.

It broke her. But the shy smile on Irene's face was enough for Wendy to accept her defeat, to accept the fact that she has no chance at all. Who was she kidding? That was Park Bogum, everybody's dream guy, a perfect man. A man. Wendy? She's just an average student that was lucky enough to befriend a goddess.

She sighed. Her wish....that wish...is a punch to the moon. Very impossible.

She remembered her younger self, always waiting for a shooting star to arrive. Patiently waiting with her sister to make a wish. 

'When you wish upon a star, makes no difference-'

She scoffed, thinking that she's old enough to believe such things. She had wished before, and nothing happened. 

'I'm stupid' she thought. 

Irene, she remembered her once more.

Flashback

Their last period of class has ended. Everyone was packing their things to their bags. As usual, some of their classmates were starting to approach the new girl. The girl however, was very appalled by the attention she's receiving.

Wendy snickered. Do her classmates even realize the scowl on her face every time they approach her?

She shook her head, she was about to call for Joy when she felt a grab on her arm. 
"Let's go to the canteen." Irene whispered.
She caught Joy by her sight and signalled her to go first.

They bought snacks before occupying their usual seats. They chattered random things like celebrity gossips, classmates who wouldn't stop pestering Jennie Kim, demanding teachers, and a lot more.

"So Wen, tell me. Have you had boyfriend before?" Irene asked curiously.

Wendy contemplated for while, she had been in a relationship before, but with a girl. Of course she would not tell that to Irene.

"I'm NBSB." She finally answered.

There was a confuse look on Irene's face. Wendy thought that was so adorable.

"What's that?"
"No Boyfriend Since Birth." 
Wendy suppressed her laugh. She was amused by her own statement.
