Chapter 6: Reality
Undercover Boss
Hi, guys! This is a really quick POV of Tiffany, from a third person view. ( I think that's what it's called).
Chapter 6
A young woman is seen walking through the lonesome park all alone in the middle of the night, if there were any onlookers they would be worried for the girl. The
weather outside was somewhat peaceful, it wasn’t hot, but it wasn’t cold, there was a gentle breeze in the atmosphere, the smell of the freshly watered grass
lingered in the air, and the crickets chirping as the night passes away.
The woman is seen walking aimlessly down the poorly lit walkway that is covered with dirt and leaves, every step she took a crackle could be heard, but she didn’t
mind it because the noise she made, made herself feel somewhat safe.
Walking and walking down the walkway that seemed somewhat endless, Tiffany Hwang became tired and decided to rest herself on the nearby wooden bench.
When she took a seat, a creek would be made from the old wooden bench, surprising herself with the sudden noise.
Tiffany sat on the bench, with her head burrowed into her arms, she was tired and stressed. So many things were going through her mind, she was an emotional
wreck.
Her thoughts were endless, but it always stopped on a certain brunette, whose physical features were sharp and whose voice is of an angel.
She was confused, why she treated Jessica so cold. Jessica didn’t do anything wrong to Tiffany but Tiffany thought otherwise. How was it okay, for Jessica to take a
break out of the middle of the day when an inspector came down from HQ to examine the store? How was it okay that Jessica was happily chatting with a girl when
the store was at its busiest hour? And lastly, how was it okay for Jessica to hug someone so intimately?
But who was Tiffany Hwang? Who was Tiffany Hwang to be telling Jessica what’s wrong and what’s right? After all Jessica Jung was the assistant manager, her
boss, so in what right position was Tiffany in to be upset? Was Tiffany really upset that Jessica was slacking off on her job? No, because all of her coworkers slack
off thrice as much as Jessica did, so that wasn’t a valid reason. Or was it because of something else?
Tiffany grunted in defeat, she was tired, annoyed, upset, and confused, the five worst feelings to feel at the same time.
--
Tiffany fell in love before, she regretted it. To Tiffany love is useless, it didn’t make sense, why would she want to experience somewhat dreadful days of pain just
for a simple high? Why would someone want to risk their heart, hoping the other person would risk their own as well? She wasn’t talking about the love you receive
from family or friends, but the love you receive from another significant other whether it is a female or a male.
But why is she rambling on about love? She couldn’t possibly be still in love with her ex right? No, she wasn’t in love with the person who heartlessly stepped over
her heart over and over, the person who coldly brushed her off whenever she wanted to spend time with him, the person who talked down on her like a dog, the
person who used her so carelessly, and the person who made her blind to fall completely in love with.
--
When Tiffany met Jessica, she felt feelings she shouldn’t have been feeling, especially towards the same gender, because it was wrong and being the good Christian girl she was, she shouldn’t be having feelings of wanting to hug the girl forever, or the feeling to have the girl’s attention forever, or the feeling of being
protected by the girl, and lastly the feeling of being loved by girl.
What confused Tiffany the most, was that she only known Jessica for somewhat days, she knew nothing significant about the latter, except for the fact that she’s
23, a Korean American, and that she’s a student. Funny thing is, she’d never seen Jessica around campus, although there were many students she still never
recognized Jessica, and Tiffany has great memory with faces.
So to Tiffany, something wasn’t adding up… Her life revolved around working and schooling, how does someone who she’d never seen shop at MyJ suddenly get
the job as assistant manager? Maybe Tiffany didn’t notice Jessica before, but hell everyone would notice someone as pretty as Jessica, Tiffany thought.
There Tiffany goes again, unconsciously adoring Jessica without even realizing it.
Tiffany ruffles her hair in dismay, she felt like God was playing a cruel trick on her, she didn’t know what she was feeling, what she was thinking, and what she was
doing.
Who are you really, Jessica?
