SANA’s POV

7 AM

I am now waiting for the train to arrive. That would be approximately one song from my playlist. Train ride would consume four songs, then I’ll walk from the station to my office for around three more songs. So that would give me around 30 minutes of free time before my working hours.

5 PM

Get off from work

6 PM

Time to eat dinner alone, then take a shower.

7 PM

Free time aka SNS time

9 PM

Oh this is it. This is the time when my thoughts would consume me. This is usually the time when I will get tired of my routine. It’s pretty obvious that it’s boring. Friends? I have friends. I’m the type of friend who’ll usually go all out just to see them happy, the bubbly one, the very clingy friend. I remember that time when Nayeon broke up with her boyfriend, and I stayed at her house for a week because she won’t stop crying. My hometown friends, Momo and Mina, we basically grew up together before I moved to this city for college. And of course Dahyun, she’s special. I really did everything for her. I became her wall, a pillow, designated driver, chef, a good friend.

But maybe I’m not that type of friend you’ll message every day. Or the first friend that will come to your mind, if you’re feeling good and you want to hang out. Or that friend you’ll contact first when there’s something to celebrate with.

I have friends (and family) and yet I feel lonely every time.

Well maybe, it’s also my fault, because I always hide it with a smile. I always pretend that I’m fine. But honestly, I am dying inside. I am not happy with my life. I am lonely and it’s killing me.

Next Day

I’m currently ‘enjoying’ the sunset. Maybe because I’m not artistic, but for me, sunsets are overrated. However, today is an exception. It’s calming – seeing the sunset, hearing the strong sound of waves, and feeling the fresh air, several feet from the ground.

But still, emptiness is creeping in.

I looked down the cliff and saw that the current is quite calmer than what I expected it to be. I guess it would not be enough to take me away somewhere far from this emptiness I am feeling.

”Today is calm. It would be useless if you’re attempting to die.” The tall girl said while approaching me. She sits beside me, eyes still on the sunset, not even sparing a glance towards me. I looked at her. She’s beautiful. But when I saw her eyes, I immediately inferred why she’s here.

I smiled to myself. Then I told her, “Yes it’s calm but I don’t think that would be a problem.” Then I felt her questioning glance to me.

“I don’t know how to swim. So, it would still work.” I looked at her again. It seems like she’s thinking.

“What’s your name?” The tall girl asked me.

“Sana” Then, she suddenly reached out, took my hand and looked at me.

“Sana, do you want to die together?”
