Of course, breakups are part of life, but when your ex, is a K-pop superstar, it can get messy quick. We naturally drifted apart since our schedules and daily lives were so different. What made it harder was that we got close because we visit a handful of the same few places. Now it was hard the few times I did see her at one of those places.

Just because I never took your photo off my phone

Just because I accidentally slipped and said your name

Well, I heard your song, it makes me insecure

Just because I know I'll never feel the same

Doesn't mean I love you anymore.

It wasn't too long ago, at a small cafe-bakery we enjoy did we cross paths. I was waiting for my large order for my office-mates and me, she and the whole of her group walked in. Just as we noticed each other, an ever familiar song started to play over the speakers. We both had a song that we chose, that held what we felt of each other, and it happened to her's.

Hearing the words and melody of the song play, made me reminisce of our coffee dates.

"Are you sure I won't be getting you in trouble?"

I asked before taking a sip of my hazelnut latte.

"I don't really care... You had your rebellious phase a year or two, late... I'm having mine now,"

She smirked before taking a piece from our shared feta-spinach omelette.

"Different, I was in high-school-"

"I know, I know,"

She stuck her tongue out at me.
