'who do you think you are talking too?'

the slightly familiar rough voice sent a chill down taehyung's spine. 

the guard composed himself, 'sir this boy is trying to break into the building i was just doing my job'

taehyung bit back a sarcastic remark and looked towards where jungkook was standing. 

he looked the same he had looked that day. the only difference was that he was wearing a leather jacket over his white shirt and his hair was styled up exposing his forehead. 

taehyung wondered for a brief second how much difference the forehead made since it made him look more mature. 

jungkook made eye contact with taehyung sending a wink his way before turning back towards the guard with a stony expression, 'and how do you know he was breaking in?'

'sir i-'

taehyung startled as jungkook suddenly came forward and wrapped his arm around his waist gently pulling him closer.

taehyung blushed deeply but didn't try to pull away. even through the two shirts he was wearing he could feel the warmth of jungkook's hand. it wasn't the pleasant kind of warm but the kind of warm a car gets when left for a while in the heat of the scorching sun. 

was he a fire devisar? taehyung wondered. 

the guard his drying lips as he looked at the hand holding taehyung, then at taehyung's flaming face and finally back to where jungkook was looking back at him with a cold look. 

'i- sir, i didn't know he was a friend of yours', the guard said his voice growing hoarse. 

'never again. i repeat never again try and put your hands on someone that is mine. do i make myself clear?', jungkook said in an authoritative voice.

'ye-yes sir'

'lets go babe', taehyung jumped when jungkook addressed him since he was too busy thinking of how he was only probably an inch or two shorter than jungkook and yet he felt so small compared to him.

'i.. i-what?', he didn't even know what the hell took place. who could blame him when someone so intimidating was in such close proximity.

jungkook almost facepalmed himself but instead removed his arm from around taehyung's waist and placed his hands on his shoulder, turning hin around and giving him a light push towards the elevator. 

they were halfway towards the elevator when a scream made him turn around. the guard had fell face first on the floor probably breaking his nose from the strong impact with the tiles. 

taehyung's mouth fell open as he looked at the satisfied smirk on jungkook's face and it didn't take a genius to figure out the reason behind that sudden fall.

'we meet again'

these were the first words jungkook said as soon as the doors closed and taehyung tore his eyes away from where the guard was still on the floor. 

the tone was almost sultry, soft barely above a whisper and it sent a shiver down taehyung's spine. again. 

he wasn't sure if it was good for his health. 

'what are you doing here'

'i am supposed to work here', taehyung mumbled, 'i have turned 23, so i am supposed to serve'

jungkook cocked an eyebrow, 'you are 23? wow wasn't expecting that'

'why are you younger than me?', taehyung asked as the metallic door opened with a ting.

jungkook just shrugged and walked outside.

the idea of jungkook being younger than him didn't change the power the younger held over him because he was still bigger than him in the hierarchy chart.

taehyung took in the surroundings of what was apparently the ground floor where his shop was supposed to be. 

the floor was the same jagged pattern as the lobby but the tiles were coloured which shimmered when the artificial lightening hit them. there was a single fountain, the water poured out of it was as clear as glass and the sound of water hitting water was soothing. there were strange symbols carved in the rim of the fountain and cushioned black benches sat in a circle around the majestic fountain. 

the place was filled with people, some lounging on the benches and others going in and out of the several shops in the area. 

there weren't too many people for it to be called a mall. 

'so which one is your shop?', jungkook asked looking around the place. 

'a coffee shop', taehyung said his gaze sweeping around the place multiple times before he located what he was looking for. 

the shop wasn't really big but the perfect size for a coffee shop. the first thing he noticed when he entered was that the coffee shop was definitely not abandoned at any point. 

the smell of coffee mixed with the smell of fresh baked goods, that were placed on a transparent glass cabinet, hit him as soon as he entered. 

there were a few round tables near the counter and a door behind the counter led to what he supposed was probably the kitchen and his room. 

"oh this is the coffee shop?", jungkook asked. taehyung hadn't noticed him come inside.

"yes."

"an old man used to own this shop. i came here alot. i stopped coming a few months ago"

"what happened to that old man?", taehyung asked curiously. 

"don't know, probably went back to living between the commoners. but now that you are here maybe i will become a regular again?", jungkook winked at him. 

taehyung fought a blush as he made his way behind the counter. 

jungkook followed him. 

"you know i never really invited you inside", taehyung scoffed as jungkook trailed behind him.

"you know i practically own this place, i don't think i need permission"

"yeah right", taehyung snorted. 

"you don't believe me? why do you think that guard was like that after i came? ", jungkook asked as they entered the small living area behind the shop.

taehyung stayed silent aware that it wasn't a surprise that someone like him could own a whole building. 

"i would love to stay and have a cup of coffee with you baby but i have some buisness to attend too", jungkook patted tae's cheeks lightly. 

taehyung scowled and slapped his hand away, "stop acting like we are in a relationship", he mumbled before turning away. 

jungkook laughed shouting out a "not yet" over his shoulder as he left. 

taehyung hid his face in his hands and slumped into the closest flat surface trying to ignore the fluttery sensation in his stomach and the accelerated beating of his heart.
