Unknowingly, Minhyun’s hand reach out over her head and helped unwired some of her spiking hair. 

 

She stopped. It’s like a still picture. Looking up at Minhyun and she froze. No thoughts at all on her mind.

 

Realizing her reaction, he stopped too. Looking back at her and he too froze.

 

What the hell did I do?!

 

“Umm…” she started, but Minhyun beats her to saying something.

 

“Yea~ Let’s get back to the class. It’s already started and we gotta present our chemistry, I mean, the assignment.”

 

“Yeah, that!” she agreed and dashed off.

 

They both arrived at the class on time that teacher haven’t got time to notice them missing or entering. The class conduct as per normal but Nuri can’t seem to sit still.

 

She still can’t comprehend the gesture that Minhyun did just now to her hair. She is now pretty much unsettling and keep stealing glances at him.

 

Minhyun, on the hand, seems pretty cool and focused in class. Or at least it is what it seems on the outside. 

 

When their turn came to present their progress to the teacher, no matter how nervous they were before, they did a good job. Too good that the teacher finds their work satisfying and give them additional tasks to do for extra credit.

 

At the end of the class, to break the ice, Nuri patted Minhyun on his back and said “Great work, partner!” with an awkward smile.

 

Minhyun was startled for a while then said back “You too… partner” before she turned to get out of the classroom.

 

“Ah wait, Kim Nuri”

 

“yes?”

 

He brings out her umbrella which he didn’t have chance to give her back before the class started and handed it out to her now.

 

“Oh right, my umbrella.”

 

“Thanks~” he said.

 

“Don’t mention it.”

 

Once again she turned to leave but he called her again.

 

“Are you in a rush?”

 

“Sorry. No~ why?”

 

“Well, I was thinking we could start on the new tasks that our teacher just gave us.”

 

“Right now??!” she knows he is a geek but didn’t know that he has to do things right away.

 

“Only if you are free this evening, it’s okay if you have other things to do or other places to be.” He doesn’t want to be a burden to her of course.

 

“No… yeah no, I’m free” she doesn’t want to miss the chance to stay longer with him too.

 

“So, meet you back at the library in 20?” 

 

“Sure thing, see you!”

 

Daniel was waiting for her in front of the class. 

 

“What’s taking you so long?”

 

“Hwang Minhyun” she replied.

 

“Oh, nice~! How’s your project?”

 

“Going too well, he wants to do extra credits straight away.”

 

“Wowww~ ours got a few mistakes, so, we gotta redo some parts.” Daniel complained.

 

“Oh no, Park Sua must be frustrated.”

 

“She sure was.” he agreed. “Hey, so, you’re not going back with me now right?”

 

“right, gotta do those extra credits” she rolled her eyes.

 

“good luck!” he winked, “and have fun!”

When she got to the library, Minhyun was already there. They started with some researches and build some understanding. That took a bit longer than they expected. By the time they finished with understanding the requirements, it’s already past 8PM.

 

“Gosh, that was long.” she whined. 

 

“And we haven’t even started anything.” Minhyun complained.

 

“Relax, we’ll get it done in a week.”

 

“Are you hungry?” he asked.

 

“Ofcuz I’m starving.” she cried.

 

“Shall we go out to eat? Do you like ramen? My treat.” he said while clearing his books.

 

“Yeah sure. Thanks!” she said, her heart is going to explode with the excitement as the thought of going out to eat dinner with Hwang Minhyun. 

 

They walked out of school together. Strolling around on the streets in a cold breeze of the night.

 

“Is it considered late for you?” Minhyun asked in concern.

 

“No, don’t worry. I stayed until 10 on exam days.”

 

“I see.”

 

“But, since now is not exam period, my parents would think it’s weird.”

 

“Shoot! Do you want me to come with you and explain to them?” 

 

“Hahahaha ~ it’s okay. I can explain myself.” She couldn’t help but laughed out loud at his worried expression.

 

“Oh ok!” He replied. “There, it’s the ramen shop I’m taking you.”

 

They ordered two bowls of ramen and some mandus to share also. She couldn’t help but being a clumsy eater again. Dropping chopsticks in the middle of going to picking up a mandu.

 

He left out a short laugh then get her a new pair of chopsticks. 

 

“Gomawo...” she said.

 

“Are you that hungry or are you rushing?” He asked.

 

“No no... I’m that clumsy when it comes to eating... it’s like my body can’t catch up with my brain...”

 

“Strange”

 

“I know right.”

 

“Then slow down.” he suggested.

 

“I cannot. It’s like I must eat this, I must eat that. Haha.”

 

“Haha. I promise I won’t steal your food. Just slow down okay! I don’t want you to go choking on my food later.”

 

“Ok! Got it!”

 

After they had their dinner, both of them headed out.

 

“Thanks for the dinner. See you at school next week.”  She said but he’s not saying back the goodbye.

 

He was staring at her, looking all charming and handsome in her eyes.

 

“Can I walk you home?” He asked.

 

She was looking at him, not knowing what to response. And also not very sure what she heard was right, as she was completely dazzled by him.

 

“It’s late... so...” he continued. “Lead the way.”

 

She’s still not budging, so he tapped her on her shoulder and asked, “which way?”

 

She slowly pointed left.

 

He, then, walked towards left but saw her not following him. So, he went back and grab her from her wrist and dragged her along the way. Smiling like he is enjoying this and not being discreet about it.
