(Switching to Mina's POV)
C: Hey Mina! Did you reach Japan safely?
M: Yeah I did. I even slept for a long time!
C: That's great, you really did need some rest and-
J: Hey Mina! Can you hear me? It's me Jeongyeon!
M: Hey Jeongyeon! Is the phone on speaker mode?
C: Yup.
M: Right... so you've both resolved everything, right?
J: Of course we have! And yeah let me tell you Chaeyoung's grown 2 inches shorter than before! (laughs)
C: YOO JEONGYEON!
M: Okay guys I need to go now, I've got some... work to do; you guys stay safe and text me daily, alright? Bye!
C: We'll text you, DAILY! Bye!
J: Bye! Take care!
After getting home that day, all I could do was sleep due to the exhaustion of jet lag.
After a few hours of deep sleep, my sleep was interrupted by a call on my phone from Chaeyoung.
I sat up and called her back in excitement.
My heart was thumping as I heard her phone ringing.
The ringing stopped and so did my heart, for a millisecond.
In my head, I knew that I was anxious, nervous, guilty and restless all at once; but I knew I'd have to play it cool.
I clutched the phone tightly in my hands as their laughter purified my ears.
I smiled with watery eyes and bit my lip to control myself from having an emotional breakdown.
I hung up and kept my phone aside.
