PROLOGUE

She spread her arms and closed her eyes as she leaned against the railings, feeling the breeze. She smiled as she felt a pair of familiar arms embracing her from behind.

"Do you like it?" He asked, already knowing the answer when he saw her excitement before boarding. He just wanted to make sure that she really liked it.

"I love it." She said as she slowly opened her eyes and turned around to face him. She leaned towards him and gave him a quick kiss on his lips. "Thanks for this surprise trip."

"You're welcome." He said, looking at her lovingly. His eyes drift to her luscious lips. He tipped her head up and gave her a kiss, so passionate that her legs went weak. She held on his arms for support.

They pulled away after a while. He looked at his watch. He still has time. He gave her a cheeky smile and she knew what he was thinking. They have been dating for 6 years after all. He leaned down and kissed her again as they moved towards the bed, not breaking off the kiss.

He woke up to the noise outside. He heard screams and loud running steps. He sat up and looked out to the balcony when he felt a flash of light outside. Is that the emergency signal?

Something was wrong. He took his clothes and wore it hastily. He then walked towards the door and look through the peephole. He saw people rushing towards one direction. He opened the door and stopped one of them, “What is happening?”

“A storm happened! The ship is on fire and it’s sinking!! We have to get out of here!” The passenger said and hurried off.

Panic rise inside him. He quickly went back to the bed, wanting to wake his girlfriend up. To his surprise, she was already up, a look of worry on her face. “Is there something wrong?” She asked, feeling scared.

“We have to go.” He said, picking up her clothes and helping her wear them. He did not need to say much as she already knew what was happening.

She was feeling more scared when she saw the amount of people outside, waiting in line to board the lifeboat. People were crying, mothers holding onto their children, couples holding onto each other.
