“Dad, we got something important to tell you.” A handsome young man said to an old man – probably in his early fifties – as he grips the hand of his girlfriend’s hand tightly.

“Oh? What is it, son?”

“Yoona and I decided to get married.”

“That’s a wonderful news, son. Congratulations to the both of you. You have my blessings.” The old man said, which brought smiles to both the young man and the young woman. The old man watches them, can’t help but remember the happy times he had with his wife.

“Have you told your parents about it, my dear?” The old man asked the young woman.

“Yes, uncle. They were happy for us too.”

The old man nods approvingly, “Good. I will leave you guys to plan the wedding yourselves. It’s your big day. I don’t want to meddle with these stuffs to make you unhappy.”

“Oh, you won’t, uncle. We would appreciate if you help us with the planning.” “Yes, Dad.”

“This old brain of mine doesn’t work well with young people.” The old man says and points to his head. “Just plan it like what you two like. I’ll be heading back to my bedroom and have a rest.”

“Okay. Rest well, Dad.” “Rest well, uncle.”

The old man opens the door of his cupboard and takes an album out. The album has been kept in quite a good condition. He sits on his bed and flips to the first page. There’s a picture of a young man and a young woman in their early twenties. The young man was wearing a suit and the young woman was wearing a wedding gown. The young man was him. He was looking lovingly at the young woman, and the young woman did the same too. He flips to the other page and it was another photo of their wedding photo-shoot, same goes to the next few pages of the album. Then he flips to the page of the pictures of their wedding day. They were so happy.

A knock on the door breaks his gaze off the album, and he looks at the person who came in.

“Uncle, I’ve brew some herbal tea for you.”

“Thank you, Yoona. You’re such a sweet girl.” He takes the cup from the young woman and takes a few sips of it.

The young woman saw what the old man was looking at earlier, and she moves her hand to touch it. “Is this your wedding album, Uncle?”

“Yes.”

The young woman flips through the pages of the album. “So this is Seunggi’s mother. She’s really beautiful.”

“Yes, she is.” He says as he looks at the pictures as the young woman flips the album.

“You guys were so young. I didn’t know you got married at such a young age. I thought boys doesn’t like to get married that early.”

“That’s quite true, but I was happy getting married at that age. I was 21 then.”

“I know why. I can see it from these pictures. You love her.”

“Yes, my dear.” He says. “Actually, I didn’t expect myself to get married that early. Do you want to know why?”

“Yes please.”

“That day,” he points to the album, “was 1^st June, 2010…”
