We were both seated on the leather couches in the living room, he was on the beige Italian couch and I on the other.

He was still watching me, his body was turned my way. I was silently sipping my Whiskey, my legs were crossed. I wasn't looking forward to any of this, that rascal.. He always had to show up in the most inauspicious times.. 

'I'll tell you why I'm here.' His eyes twinkled. If someone should ever be warned, this was the signal. 

'I came here to talk about a certain friend of yours.' He began. My eyes pierced through his. 'A certain friend who also is one of my friends.' I was confused. 

'His mission finished and he will join us tomorrow in Paris. I know you didn't know about this and he personally asked me to tell you this.' My eyes widened, I had enough. 

'What do you mean "he will join us in Paris"? His mission still has two months left, he can't be done already. How do you know him? How come he didn't inform me? And above all, what do you mean us?' I announced. He chuckled. 

'Don't shoot the messenger, it'll make you look intractable. It's exactly as I said, his mission ended and he will join us tomorrow, I suppose he will be at the Opera. Why he didn't inform you, is because your homer got shot on the way.' He explained. 

My homer got shot.. One of the worst pretexts ever. 

'That doesn't explain why you know him nor does it explain why you said us. I want to clear something up. There is no us, there's only me, you and other people.' He grinned. 

'Whatever you say, however..' He cupped his chin, '..your moans proved otherwise last night.'

I couldn't believe he was talking about this. I shot him an glance. 'I was drunk.'

He chuckled, he wasn't buying any of it. 'And, you're sure there's no us?' He had moved over to me, he was sitting right beside me. I leaned back to the corner of the couch. 'Because I'd love to smell that enchanting scent of yours once again.' He has come closer and his head was at my chest, inhaling my scent. 

I knew he was just fooling around, he didn't actually care about me. He just wanted to make me fall for him, it was a game out of boredom. 

'And even if you don't want that, there doesn't have to be an us, there can also be a mine.' He moved his head up, he was now hovering over me, his teeth abraded my earring. 

I pushed him off of me. 'Touch me one more time and I'll shoot you.' I stood up. 

'We'll see,' he also stood up,
