CHAPTER 8

           " What a waste of time.." Key then left the amusement park.

   As we walked out from the crowded place , I turned to DooJoon.

He looked surprised.

I bowed. " Sorry for causing trouble."

He didn't say anything at first, but then, he just laughed.

" You kidding? This was the greatest blind date ever!" he exclaimed happily.

" No.. , what I mean was, .. back there.. when I.." I paused.

He smiled. " Hey, you have eyes, right?"

I nodded slowly.

" Our eyes.. they're not that strong to hold back our tears. As hard as you may  try, they'll fall either way." he looked at me with a puzzled face. " But, why were you in tears? If it was because of me, I'm truly sorry. I didn't mean to-."

I waved my hand and repeated the word NO.

" So, why were you in tears then?" he was really curious, I guess.

What to say? I know I shouldn't mention Key..

I just laughed. " Oh, it was nothing! Something!"

" Huh?"

" Uh, I saw a .. family! Yeah, a family. They reminded me of my family?"

Somehow, that answer of mine satisfied him.

He quickly looked at me.

" Yaa! Then , promise me something! If you were ever in tears again, come to me. OKAY?"

As he put his pinkie out.

I looked at him and his hand.

I shoved his hand and laughed.

" What?" I scoffed. " I don't know you! Why would I make a promise with you?"

" Okay then..How about this?" as he suggested. " If we know more about each other, we'll make that promise!"

I glared at him and walked away.

Seriously, how did I become friends with this bully?

" Hey, wait up!" he shouted as he ran to me.

             Key arrived home.

His father was in the dining room with his mother.

" I'm back." Key greeted as he opened his shoes.

His mother smiled and called for him.

Key rejected. " No, I think I want to go into my room. I'm really exhausted."

" Kim Kibum. Get in here." commanded his father in a really stern-voice.

Key stopped at the dining room's door before getting in.

" Yes?" he didn't want them to see his injured face.

" Come and sit with us." invited Key's mother as she poured some tea into a cup.

Key sighed.

His mother was puzzled to see him acting like this, that she walked to him.

" Kibum-ah. How was school?" she asked joyfully.

Key didn't answer. The mother turned his face slowly and found out.

She was really shocked to see his face.

" What's this? You got into a fight?" she got worried.

His father heard that he spilled his tea.

" HE WHAT?!" he shouted angrily.

Key moved his face away.

" It was nothing.  Why do you even care?" he then left and went into his room.

His parents looked at each other with a concern face.

             I stopped walking and turned around. DooJoon stopped too.

" Why are you still following me?" I asked him. Seriously, just go already!

DooJoon shrugged his shoulders. " I don't know. Aren't you sending me home?"

And again, " WHAT?"

He walked near me. " Well, I heard that every date, the other person should send the other home."

" Do I look like a guy to you?" I pointed to myself.

" What do you mean?" he looked so confused.

" Listen. That's what guys should do."

He paused and smiled. " But since you know where I live , and I don't know where you live, then YOU send me home!"

I felt so .. so.. URGHHH.

" NO!" I shouted.

" Why not?"

" I don't know where you live!!" he was making me so stressed out!

" Didn't you write that in your small notebook? My address? No?"

I sighed. " I'm going home. I'm so exhausted."

" Wait." he said.

I looked  at him lazily. " Yes?" I sighed.

" What's your name?"

Oh yeah, that was right. He didn't know my name. Did I just realise that now? I was such a fool!

" It's Eliseu." I replied slowly.

I then left him as he just stood there while watching me go.

Before I was out of sight, he shouted, " I'm gonna win you!"

I slapped my face and finally made a turn.

                The next morning, as usual. School.

I felt so exhausted. All because of that stupid blind date and the whole kidnapping thing.

And yes,  as you already know, the students stopped mocking me.. but somehow, there was another new topic which made the school so shocked. I wondered what it was.

I went into the restroom and there was two girls in there.

I washed my hands as I eavesdropped them.

"I can't believe this! It's all a lie!" she shouted quietly.

Her friend sighed. " I know right. That 's why his face was all like that yesterday!"

" He was a victim!" as she cried.

I closed the water when the two girls left.

..... What were they talking about?

A victim.. ?

Could it be.. Key? ..

I gasped. " It's revealed! How did that happen?!"

I walked out quickly.

I could hear people talking about him in the hallway.

I peeked in the student council's meeting room.

EMPTY.

Where could he be?

My head then clicked. " The rooftop!"

I ran to the stairs and opened the rooftop's door.

UGH. Never liked the rooftop. So.. not clean.

But, yeah. My prediction was true. He was there.

Key was standing near the rooftop's gate.

He turned around and saw me.

I didn't know what to do.

Key walked to me and stopped infront of me.

He looked down at me.

" I seriously don't get it. Why.. Why did you.. -" he sighed.  " You really wanted revenge, huh? Well, you got it now. Thanks for spreading the word. I thought this was suppose to be a secret."

I was speechless.

" I-I.. " I stammered.

He pushed me by my shoulder as he walked past me.

" I'm getting you expelled." he then opened the door and slammed it as he left.

I had a mini- heart attack when he slammed it.

But, Key..

It wasn't me. I don't know anything about this.

... Someone.. told the whole student body..

But, it wasn't me.
