              CHAPTER 28

I stopped walking .

I didn't know why I stopped.

Was I harsh? Did I say that to get my revenge? wait.

Was I still thinking about the revenge?..

I sighed.

" No. Now that I quit that volunteering, I can go home now. That's right. I can rest my mind."

I smiled to myself and continued walking.

I took my bag from my classroon and walked downstairs and out of the school.

Key was walking his way to the restroom.

He walked in and looked at the mirror.

He watched his tears and wiped it.

He then washed his face.

" If you want the cold-hearted Key back, I'll give him back. Don't regret.."

Key after that stood upright and left the restroom to continue the meeting.

He realized that he was the school president. He had more responsibility to do.

He thought that he was just wasting his time thinking about Eliseu all this time.

I walked out from the school front gate.

Gi-Kwang was there.

He saw me.

I saw him.

I gasped and ran to him. I remembered!

" I'm so sorry! I-"

" You forgot." he interrupted.

He looked upset.

I bowed. " I'm really sorry."

I noticed that he was holding a cute box that made me curious.

" Ah. What are you holding?"

He lifted it up and looked at it and backed to me.

" Here. Take it." as he gave it to me, smiling.

I was confused. " It's for me?"

He nodded. " I made it."

"Are you sure?"

He nodded again, really sure.

I hesitately took it from him.

" Enjoy." he turned around and walked away.

I think I made him upset. I didn't like it. AT ALL.

I sighed and whispered, " Gumawo.."

             Again, as usual. School..

I was sitting at my place just looking around the noisy classroom.

When I heard two girls talking about Key.

" Aish." she sounded mad. " Where is Key? I haven't seen him anywhere today."

The other friend who was sitting landed her chin on the palm her hand.

" I heard that he's not gonna attend this school anymore."

" What!?" she shouted.

My eyes got wider. I , myself was shocked to hear that too.

He's not going to attend this school anymore.

To make sure what I heard was right, I approached them.

" Annyeong." I greeted.

Both of them looked at me.

" Ah. Yeah?"

I smiled at them. " I heard Key is not attending this school anymore. Is this true?"

The girls nodded. " That's what we heard."

One of them sighed. " I will miss him terribly, eventhough he doesn't even know me.."

I walked to my place again and had a worried feeling.

Was it my fault? GREAT. Everything was my fault now.

I couldn't stop thinking how mean I was to him.

But, he couldn't have transfer to another school.

He set up the winter event, he couldn't just leave like that!

DooJoon was smiling.

WHY? Because of Min.

Today, when he arrived at school, Min approached him.

" Oppa." she said.

DooJoon sighed. " What do you want?"

" I will stop following you around."

That surprised him. " ssinja? Like really really?"

Min nodded. " I noticed that I'm making you angry."

" Forget about that. I'm just happy that you're not gonna bother me anymore!"

DooJoon then ran away, jumping as happy as ..freedom.

" Now I have the time with Eliseu!"

DooJoon stopped walking.

He saw Key.

Key was in the hallway. Talking to DooJoon's school president.

" Why is he here?" DooJoon looked confused.

Key finished talking with the school president and turned to his right.

And there was where he saw DooJoon.

Key ignored DooJoon and walked to the stairs.

DooJoon was MORE confused.

It was lunchtime.

Everyone gathered in the cafeteria, or the place where students usually eat their lunch~

I was eating some spicy rice cakes when I remembered the cute box Gi-Kwang gave me.

It was a beautiful-cute cake. It was delicious too!

I smiled to myself. I didn't know Gi-Kwang could cook or bake a cake.

But, I felt so guilty that I forgot. That I made him wait.

I turned to the student council members' table.

Key crossed my mind.

Key wasn't there. Did he really move?

Ugh. Guilt was always around me. I hated it.

Why was it that everytime I finally got to relax my mind, there would always be another thing around my head. ..

" Oh god.." I mumbed.

Gi-Kwang was in the library. AGAIN.

He was walking to some bookshelves and stopped.

" .. I shouldn't have act like that to her."

The whole school was now talking about Key.

WHERE WAS KEY?

The student council members didn't want to say anything.

So, the school made their own rumour.

Some said Key moved.

Some said Key ran away from home.

Some said he was bullied again that he didn't dare to show his injured face.

Man, the school made too much foolish statements.

Class had ended, and everyone as usual walked to school front gate.

I couldn't stop thinking Key.

And today, the meeting was cancelled, because Key wasn't at school.

I didn't even care about it cause I quit!

I took a deep breathe and walked proud out of the school.

I was already walking far enough from the school when someone suddenly pushed me from behind.

" YAA!" it was a guy's voice. And it sounded so familiar.

I turned to see who it was. " DooJoon-shii!"

I was so shocked.

He smiled. " I miss you. You miss me too, right?"

I looked away.

" He has a girlfriend. he tricked you." I kept repeating those words.

DooJoon poked my arm. " Yaa, are you mumbling something?"

I quickly looked at him. He looked confused.

" I'm sure you must be wondering all these time, huh? That girl.. who was with me the other day."

I moved my glance.

" Listen, she was just some crazy girl. Chh, fell inlove with me when she saw me."

" I didn't even care."

He pouted. " So, I see you've been hanging out with Gi-Kwang."

I nodded and decided to walk away.

DooJoon shouted, " Y-YAA. Where are you going? I finally got to meet you! Come back here!"

I ran after that. DooJoon , of course chased after me.

I hid behind a wall somewhere.

I ran because I didn't want to see him. I ran because it had been awhile since I talked to him, it had been awhile since I stood next to him.

But, in the end, it was a SUCCESS.

I walked home peacefully. I didn't feel bad at ALL.

It was night time.

Key's house.

Key was eating dinner with his family that night.

His mother looked at him, smiling.

Key noticed that. " Dae, omma?"

" Ahneyo. Just wondering how's your love life?"

The father was surprised.

Key stopped eating as soon as he heard what his mother had said.

He put down his chopsticks and stood up.

" I'm full." Key said in a serious tone.

Both of his mother and father were shocked by his weird behaviour.

Key walked to his room and moved to the window.

" Love?" he smirked. " It doesn't exist in me anymore."

   " Omma, Appa. Eli-oppa! I'm going to get some fresh air." I opened the door. " Bye!"

And I walked out, snuggled my hands into the pocket of my jacket. It was cold.

I didn't know why, but, I ended up walking near DooJoon's school. Gi-Kwang's school.

I looked at the school. Some classroom's lights were on.

I guessed the students were having a night-class.

I continued my walk.

Then , it clicked me.

If this was their school, then their house must be near here! Or.. somewhere.

As I was walking, enjoying the view of the scary, haunted-looking street, there was this house, which the mother was shouting at her son. He looked like someone I knew.

His height, the way he moved.

I stood afar, watching them.

" If you don't want to listen to me, I want you to get out from this house!" the mother shouted.

" Was it even my fault that I didn't listen to you?" the son shouted back.

" YOU ungrateful son! Why can you be more like your younger brother?!" as she slapped him.

He held his face.

A little boy then came running to the brotheer who just got slapped. " Hyung!"

The brother looked at his younger brother and left the house.

The guy was on his way to me, I found this opportunity to see his face.

.. I saw his face as he walked under some dim light.

Though it wasn't clear, I just knew who he was.

Gi-kwang.

I turned to his house again.

His younger brother was crying as hard as he could. The mother was comforting him, but he was throwing a tantrum!

I decided to follow Gi-Kwang.

I saw him walking into a park where there was also a playground.

I saw him sitting at the swing and he kept holding his cheek.

It must've hurt.

     " Gi-Kwang!" I shouted. " What a surprise that I meet you here." I made it look like I found him coincidently.

He looked at me and quickly looked away.

" Are you still upset?" I asked.

I approached him. " Why are you out here in the cold? Are you not cooking anything?"

Whoops. Wrong line.

" I need some time alone." he said.

I was abacked by it. He sure must really felt bad after what his mother had done to him.

I sat on the swing next to him. " Are you alright?"

" I'm having a hard-time." he answered straight-away.

" I should go then." I stood up. But, before I could go, he grabbd my hand.

" Stay with me."

I turned to him slowly. 

" At times like this when I need you, please stay with me. "

His hands got tighter. I didn't know what to answer him.

Stay.. or not stay? ..

I accidentally tripped infront of Key.

He looked at me with disgust and kicked me aside. " Move. I'm late."

I was so shocked. He said that..to me.
