CHAPTER 27

     Min was still dragging DooJoon.

They reached the amusement park.

DooJoon couldn't stand it anymore.

"YAAA!!! Let GO." DooJoon shouted. He was really PISSED.

Min turned to him and pouted. " Aww, oppa, we're here. Why are you like this now?"

" First of all, I never like you. Second, I'm not your boyfriend. Third, you made me lose her." DooJoon forcefully shoved Min's hand, which was gripping so tightly.

Min stopped acting cute when she heard the word 'her'.

" Her? Who's 'her'?" Min gasped. " omo. Oppa!" she screaamed. " Do you have another lover?"

DooJoon found that excuse cool.

He laughed at Min's face. " That's right! I do. So, don't come near me!"

" You liar." Min said.

DooJoon was puzzled. " H-Huh?"

Min crossed her arms and looked at DooJoon with an adorable suspicious look. " How come I never see you with her? Chh, you liar." she hit DooJoon's arm lgihtly.

DooJoon got frustrated. " URGH. Listen! I told her brother that I was going to marry her someday! Is that enough for you to hate me?"

Min didn't know what to say. She was already in tears.

DooJoon looked at her. He wanted to feel pity for her, but he didn't know what to do.

She was sobbing in tears.

What to do?

Everyone was watching.

They might think that DooJoon made Min cried.. which he did.

DooJoon sighed.

He had no other choice than to.. hug her.

Min was surprised.

" Oppa.." she whispered as she sobbed.

" Wipe your stupid tears away. Why are you so damn soft-hearted? I hate girls like you."

Min did what DooJoon told her, she wiped her tears.

When DooJoon hugged her, he somehow remembered that time..

Where he hugged Eliseu when she was crying..

He remembered that he felt so guilty, because he thought the reason she was crying was because of him.

DooJoon closed his eyes, and imagined that was Eliseu.

        I walked home with Gi-kwang.

We talked.

" So, does your special somone knows that you like her?"

Gi-kwang smiled and tilted his head up. " I don't wanna tell her yet."

" Ahh~ you're waiting for the right time, eh?" as I nudged him.

He laughed. " I'm scared, that's all."

I stopped walking.  He stopped too and turned around to me.

" Scared?" I wanted to laugh. " you're a guy, why would you be scared?"

" Not every guy is brave when they want to tell the girl they like, the truth."

" I know a guy that careless about that."

DooJoon then crossed my mind. I hit my head hard.

Ouch. That hurt!

Gi-Kwang was surprised and quickly came closer.

" Yaa, what are you doing? You-" he then touched my head. " Don't hurt yourself."

" I-I.." I took a deep breathe. " I should go home and rest."

I walked past him and continued walking. FAST.

Before I got really far from where he was, he shouted at  me, " Can I meet you tomorrow?"

I only waved my hand and finally turned to my right, where the bus stop should be.

Gi-Kwang smiled and said to himself. " I'll make a surprise for you."

    After that, nothing much happened.

Key just sat at his place and watched as the other students discussed and prepared the materials for a big poster.

A student council approached him. " Are you just going to sit there and do nothing?"

Key glared at him. " Mind your own business."

The student council bowed and quickly walked away.

               The next day, Gi-Kwang walked to school with a cute-square box, a ribbon to wrapped it tightly.

L.Joe saw him.

" Dude? Is that you?" making sure that was Gi-kwang.

" It's me."

L.Joe laughed. " Seriously, dude? Like seriously? What are you holding?"

Gi-Kwang hid the box behind him. " It's for someone."

L.Joe couldn't stop laughing, then after a moment, he turned serious. " Hello? Is Gi-kwang still there? Is that cool bully still there?"

" Shut up. You changed when you're inlove, right?"

L.Joe had his eyes opened wide.

" What?"

" Let's just say I win when I said that. See you in class." Gi-Kwang pushed L.Joe by  the shoulder.

         I was walking to school when two student councils grabbed me. Or should I say kidnapped me!

Man, I was kindnapped once. This was the second time!

" Yaa, let go of me. Let go-!"

They took me to the meeting room. I knew where this was going.

Key ordered them to take me her.

Once they let go, I tried escaping.

But, I bumped onto someone.

I tilted my head to who it was.

" You came." he said.

As expected, it was Key.

He looked at the two student councils and dismissedthem. " You may leave."

When they left, the hallway got quiet.

There were no students around.

I gulped and tried disappearing. FAILED.

" About yesterday, " Key started.

I looked at him slowly.

" I want to give you my answer now."

" What?" Key sounded interested. " Now?"

" I decided..last night."

" Yeah?" Key walked closer.

" I.. I realized.." I closed my eyes. ".. that I don't like you anymore." Finally, I spit it out.

Key frozed.

" I'm going to say this to you. Just like what you had said to me before." I took a deep breathe and glared at him. " Get a life."

Ouch. That must've hurt him, i think.

Because after I gave him my word, he left immediately.

I felt bad. ..  I was now alone in the hallway.

              Min somehow got closer to DooJoon. She loved him even more after he hugged her.

" I shouldn't have done that to her.." DooJoon slammed his head on the table and pouted.

        Class had ended.

The meeting started at 6:30pm.

I still had time to meet Gi-Kwang at the front gate.

hurry, hurry , hurry.

But, my feet stopped when I walked past the rooftop's stairs.

Key always stayed there if he ever felt depressed or upset.

He couldn't have been there, right?

I almost walked past the door, when I heard a loud bang.

The sound where you could hear the gates been punched or something.

He was there? he was .. upset over something?

Without wasting anytime, I swung the door opened and, I was right. he was there.

He was near the gates and he was on his knees.

His hand, knuckled on the ground.

And it was bleeding..?

           Gi-Kwang arrived.

He was holding the cute-ribbon box behind him.

Waiting for Eliseu.

He waited as he watched the other students walked home..

       Key was in tears as he sat down on the ground.

He put both of his hands to his head.

" Go away." he shouted.

He knew I was there.

" Key, are you alright?" I wanted to walk closer to him, but something tells me that I should just stay where I was.

He stood up and turned around to me.

I looked at his hand. One was bleeding.

Probably, because he punched the gates with his knuckles? ..

He looked so upset.

Plus, he was in tears. He was always tough and arrogant.. but now..

I didn't know how to act in this kind of situation. ..

" Why.." he started. " Why do I always have to work so damn hard, when I know I won't get paid for it?!" he shouted.

I was startled and yet confused..

" Eliseu.." he whispered. " I regret.." he walked closer to me as he continued, " I regret ever saying those words to you."

I didn't move.

Key walked closer and stopped infront of me.

He stared at me with his teary eyes.

" .. do you really want to know about that kiss half of the school was talking about?"

I didn't say a word.

He managed to scoff. " It was you."

My eyes got wider. It was WHO?

" I know you like the bully more." Key said. " You've been spending more time with him. Right? While me? I didn't even spend any of my time with you. Instead, I teased you and annoyed you with the time I had. I wanted to apologize."

His eyes got teary again.

I slowly backed away.

" Why are you weeping infront of me? I want the old Key back. The old Key where he doesn't cry infront of girls. The old Key where he curses every girl who confessed to him. The old Key where he doesn't break down if a girl rejects him. I want him back. I want the cold-hearted Kim Kibum back."

Key was surprised.

I turned around to the door and held the doorknob.

" You're going to leave?" Key said. His voice was different. When your eyes got teary, your throat hurt. Right?

" Ne. I am. I'm done."

I turned the doorknob slowly but Key walked to me and slammed the door closed, turned me around and pinned me to the wall.

I got really angry that I pushed him away. " I don't want to see you in school no more. and I don't want to be a part of the volunteering anymore. Goodbye."

I opened the door and really left.

Key didn't move after I closed the door.

He clutched his hand tightly.

             Gi-Kwang was still waiting.

The front gate was getting more quiet. The students had mostly went home.

He looked at his wristwatch.

He sighed. "  Is she coming?" ..

He gripped the box tightly. Hoping that Eliseu would eventually come out.

   NEXT IS CHAPTER 28

- Min finally let go of DooJoon. But, she became the stalker. She just couldn't get enough of DooJoon.

Key didn't go to school. Some said he moved. And this time, for real. ...Why? ..

Gi-Kwang grabbed my hand before I could leave.

" Stay with me." he said.

I turned to him slowly.

He looked at me. " At times like this when I need you, please stay with me.."

I didn't know what to answer him.
