Chaeyoung POV

"Goodmorning everyone!!" I greeted cheerfully as I enter the headquarters with a box of hot coffee being carried all the way to my office. "I bought coffee!" I shouted giving my sunbaenims coffee before I walk to my desk

"someone's cheerful early in the morning?" A girl approached me with a gummy smile on her face. Ah seriously this girl wont stop smiling sometimes its giving me the creeps to just talk to her

"Don't smile too much jennie. It's giving me the creeps"

"Why? Aren't you happy seeing a beautiful girl smile right at you? You should be grateful you know" She said while brushing her hair up and flipping it side to side.

"Talk like that again and I'll pour this coffee on you" I rolled my eyes as I chuckle while handing her coffee to her. She accepted it gladly and started sipping from it clearly seeing the smoke that the coffee is making.

I work here in the National Intelligence for 5 years already and this became my second home. Everytime I glance around the headquarters it always comforts me. Call me weird but I really do love my job even if it includes guns and men. As long as I'm able to save my fellow citizens and protect someone then I don't mind putting myself in danger. So much for my patriotism

Jennie is my bestfriend. We went to the academy together before entering the actual training to be qualified here. And thanks to the good luck spirits we grauduated at the same time and even assigned to the same department. We went to a few missions together but often we were assigned seperately. Maybe because they dont want 2 girls to be in partner. I don't know why i don't see something wrong with that.

"Oh I almost forgot chief said that you need to finish these reports from our previous mission and to be passed asap." Jennie ordered while piling up stacks of paper in my desk as I sat down staring in awe at her

"hey why are you piling all those papers on me?!" I demanded

"Park Chaeyoung. I already have loads of paperworks to do. I even finished the reports that other departments are supposed to finish. Can't you see these dark circles?? I barely had any sleep!" 

"Okay Okay! Don't cry jeez i'm just asking"  I pouted while rolling my eyes getting the first part of the report and started typing

"Good because I don't accept workloads anymore I feel like I'm going to die first staring in front of the computer than getting shot"

I just laughed at her statement and continued typing my report. I want to finish this right away! Just thinking about sitting here for hours typing the same damn thing over and over again makes me sick. I shoould've just accepted the job in the tech department that would've been much better. I brushed my hair before tying it up trying to look comfortable together with my black coat and white long sleeves underneath partnered with a fitted slacks and 2 inch heels. 

As I finished the first report suddenly my phone vibrated from my table. I slide my office chair closer to the other table to see who's calling. This guy really. Did he missed me already to call me early in the morning?

"Goodmorning park chaeyoung"

"Goodmorning too! What's up? Why did you call so early?"

"Why? Can't I call you anytime I want? Are you that busy? wow that's so rude of you"

"I just asked why? I didn't said i don't want to talk to you!" I shouted in a jokingly tone but minimal voice

"Hey chaeyoung that's very amazing of you. You've got tons of work to do yet you still have the effort to chitchat with someone" Jennie said sarcastically with a soft smile plastered on her face.

"Hey is that jennie??"

"Yeah she scolded me already. kIM JENNIE SCOLDED ME HOW DISRESPECTFUL" I said in a loud tone clearly trying to let her hear my complaints

"Jennie! Don't scold her early in the morning" he said as I put my phone in loudspeaker and he laughed at his own statement

"You two really are trying to make my job twice as hard" Jennie said shaking her head in disappointment and I just looked at her with a big smile on my face

"So why did you call again?"

"Oh uh I'm just wondering if we could you know grab lunch together"

"Aww I'd love to! But I got loads of work to do and I can't sacrifice time because I really need to finish these"

"oh" He said with a sad tone. Jennie glanced at me and chuckled as she heard his voice, contradicting his mood earlier. He's so cute damn

"How about this. Let's grab dinner together later? How does that sound?"
