"Baekhyun," I hear someone calling out my name. "Baekhyun, wake up!"

I open my eyes and saw the person in front of me, slightly kicking my legs to wake me up from my slumber, Zhang Yixing. We are in a dimly lit room, big enough to fit both of us. My head is throbbing from where I was hit.

"What happened? Where are we?" I ask him, now noticing that my hands are tied behind my back and both my feet are tightly secured with ropes. "Who the hell brought us here?"

"My guess, the damn hunters." He says. "I can't believe I was stupid enough not to sense them when I went back home. I usually could sense them from miles away, but I was... distracted."

I want to ask what he meant by that, but I brush the thought off. There is a metal door on the left wall, probably the only way out. I try scanning the room for anything that could help us escape, but to no avail. The room is empty, not even a single furniture inside it.

Some loud noises outside the room alarm us. It could be the hunters. Yixing looks at me and I understand perfectly. It's now or never. It's probably a stupid idea since our hands are still tied but we somehow got our legs free from the ropes. Our plan is to push anyone who comes through the door and run for our life.

The door knob rattles.

"Three..." Yixing starts counting down. "Two..."

Before we have the chance to jump at the people who are barging through the door, I stop my tracks as I recognize the person standing at the doorway. Jongdae's dad, Mr. Kim.

"Uncle... what are you? How?" I stutter. I don't know what to say, my head is spinning in confusion.

"Relax. For now, just trust us. We're going to get you both out of here." Mr. Kim gestures to the two guys beside him to help us. "Trust me, we're the good guys."
