HEALING YOUA little note: I edited some parts (words/phrases) in chapter 5 because it sounds pretty weird when I reread it last time. Lmao
I was surprised to see who’s at the front door. Rarely do I even get visitors at night, especially on weekdays. People just don’t come to visit me anymore, since both my parents died. It’s like I lost these connections with the people my parents were close to. The only person to stick to me after all that happened was Jongdae. I push people away back then; I didn’t even want to talk with anyone. But he persisted and keep on following me wherever I go. And somehow I wished I didn’t push him away too. I’m just grateful that atleast, after all that thing happened, one good thing came out from it. And for me, it’s my friend Jongdae.
“Baekhyun?” he says to me.
“Ah, sorry, Mr. Kim. I’m just lost in thought.” I reply back. It’s Jongdae’s father. I’m wondering what he’s here for. “Anyways, what brought you here?”
“I’m just curious if by chance you encountered a strange person roaming around the area of your house a few weeks ago.”
A strange person? Roaming around this area?
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I actually found anyone roaming around he-“
It’s that unicorn.
“Baekhyun?”
“Oh, yeah. There’s no one apparently.” I laugh and hope to god that I didn’t sound nervous.
