Something Blooms and it's NOT a Flower
HEALING YOUA month went by peacefully that I didn't even notice it. The past few weeks, Jongdae, Yixing and I get a lot closer and spend most of our time together, keeping each other safe. Just like that, I found another close friend. Maybe I should've been more open to being close to people and give myself a chance to properly socialise with others. But what's done is done, and I'm grateful to have these two dorks by my side.
"Bro, that name sounds really cool, you both should start calling me by that name," Jongdae says.
I wasn't really paying attention to their conversation because I'm busy staring at the night sky. The stars reminds me of mom because she used to teach me about constellations and we often went stargazing near our home. I feel a sense of melancholy just by looking at the stars, it's as if my mom was there, telling me it's going to be okay, that I'm going to be fine. I hope so too, mom...
"What name? I like Jongdae better." I tell him, still looking out the window.
"Chen!" Jongdae (or Chen) exclaims. "I asked Xing to give me a Chinese name. Sounds cool, right?"
"Yeah, whatever, Chennie. Imma head to bed, you bros do... whatever it is that bros do."
"Baekhyun, isn't your birthday today?" His question took me by surprise.
"Yeah. How did you know?"
He smiles, "I read your mind."
"Just kidding, Chen told me. He said he can't join us to celebrate your birthday today, I guess that leaves the two of us."
I'm not mad at Jongdae for not being able to come
