It scares her to think how quick she does in falling in love with him. Loving him comes so naturally and easy - she does not know exactly when did she start feeling so. Was it during her birthday? Was it during one of their house dates?  Or was it even earlier than that?  When she first came over to his place? Or maybe from that night?

Whatever it is, her feelings for him just grow deeper and deeper as time passes by. And it scares her so. It's not that she's doubting the feelings itself - she knows what they have is real. What they have is sincere. But she's afraid of how easily attached she gets with him and to think that they would not always be together. Especially since he is going to be away so soon.

She stares at him, his face looking at peace. Last night had been the first time she has done it in a very long while. He was being so considerate of her throughout it all. She could tell that he was holding back a lot last night, making sure to prioritise her enjoyment first over his. 

She gently the side of his face, admiring the view. "How long have you been awake?" He whispers, his eyes still closed. 

"Oppa... Hi." Her voice velvety and soothing to his ears. He opens his eyes to see the girl he loves being so close to him. She slowly puts her head on top of his calmly beating chest, her hand feeling his heart.

"Hi." He lightly places a soft peck on her forehead. "Did you sleep well last night?" He holds her in his arms, putting her even more closer to him. 

"I did. Did you?" she asks.

"I did," softly rubbing his thumb on her back repeatedly. "Feeling sore?" he asks. 

Suddenly she could immediately feel the slight pain in her body. She did not realise that initially, probably because her enjoyment for the peaceful moment outweighs the physical pain her body has to endure. "Actually, yes," she answers honestly. 

His eyes shown concern. "Come I'll make you breakfast," he says. He quickly gives her a kiss before getting out of bed. He immediately puts the bare minimum clothing to be at least modest before heading to her kitchen. 

How will she be able to endure those days without him?

"Oppa, what are you making?" she asks as soon she is in the kitchen.

"Just some omelette for now. I think I'll make some toasts later," he replies. "I know it's nothing compared to your cooking."

"It's okay, I appreciate the effort," she smiles. "I'll cook for you the next time you come over." Wait, when will that next time be? She realises that the next time might not be in few days,  that it will probably be in few weeks. Time will constantly ticks and time will slowly runs out. Without her conscience, she hugs him from behind, not wanting to waste any moments away from him.

Noting the sudden change in the air,  he asks, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just feel like hugging you." Her head still pressed against his back, her arms still firmly wrapped around his waist. 

'I'll miss you' might not have escaped from her lips but he knows with all his heart the underlying meaning behind her action. "I know. I'll miss you too, you," he says knowingly. 

As much as she wants to say 'Don't go' and 'Stay', she knows she can't. That would be very selfish of her to do so especially since she will eventually have to do the same to him the next time she has some work obligations. She knows that this is what she has signed up for the moment she agrees to let her heart feels something for him.  

So why is it so hard for her to comprehend when that moment happens? And why is it so hard for her to tell him how she really feels without her over thinking things? 

Words might not be said during that moment but their actions alone express what needs to be said: 'Please don't go', 'I'll always be there for you, no matter what'.

And 'I love you'.

The thing about Lee Jieun that makes her different from IU is that it is hard for her to express her emotions... not openly. She could not seem to let her guards down and openly tell people how she feels. Which is ironic considering how she writes and sings songs that express the depth of her emotions for a living. It's one of her biggest flaw. 

How she wishes she could let out all the words she has written in her diary and tell it all to him. He's been so understanding to her, understanding that her lack of declarations is not because she does not love him. It's just not her nature for her to do so. 

But she wishes she could. She wishes she could convey her true feelings for him, how much she really loves him, with just words. 

Suddenly, her urgency to write something arises. She immediately tries to find her diary and her pen. She grabs the mighty object and writes the things that are needed to be said. Words from her heart are immediately poured on to the paper, music from her mind are immediately being constructed. 

A song has been created, and Kwon Jiyong happens to be its muse.

Fortunately for Jieun's heart, they do meet a few days later. Sadly for both of them, that would be the last time they meet before his world tour. 

"Do you like it? " he smirks as he gives her a limited edition of a Louis Vuitton bag. He could easily just gives her a Chanel considering he is the star for its new campaign, but he thought she would appreciate it if he buys something for her as opposed to gifting her something that he gets for free. 

"You know you could just easily give me a brandless bag and I would still really love it," she remarks. "But thank you oppa. I love it." She gives him a peck on the cheek before observing her new bag. It really is beautiful as she lets her hands wander around the exquisite item.

"I'm glad," he says. "So what did you do today?"

"Well,  other than doing the usual..." referring to her slime session, reading and once-a-week yoga activity, "I've actually completed writing a song."

"Really?"

"Yep. It's actually for that video game I am promoting. I wrote it with you in mind."

"Really? So did you write how amazing I am as a person?" he teases her. 

"Shut up, oppa." She smacks him with her pillow. Gosh,  he is so annoying.

"Okay okay, sorry. But on a serious note, I'm flattered Jieun ah." He pulls her closer to him and kisses her forehead. 

Her slight annoyance for him immediately disappears into thin air. That's how much he has an effect on her: how he can easily drives her crazy in one moment yet calms her down in the next. "Do you want to hear it,  oppa?" she asks. 

"Of course,  Jieun ah," he smiles. He frees his arm around her so that she can easily retrieve her guitar around the corner. 

"Mind you, oppa... this is merely just a rough version of it," she says. He gives her nod, telling her that he understands before she starts to strum her guitar and sings it.

"Jieun ah,  that's... " No words could really describe how touched he feels at this moment. He knows that she loves him but this... 

"I know I don't show it to you as much that I love you but I really do, oppa. You mean to me much more than you think. That's why I'm willing to wait for you no matter how long it takes. Because that's how much I love you."

And that's when they know, without a doubt, that what they have is true. And that's when they know for sure that they are not merely just 'seeing each other'. 

They are for sure officially in a relationship.
