You hoped onto the bus at 8.05 in the morning to make sure that you were well on time for your first day. You find yourself unconsciously playing with your hands, which you stop immediately after noticing. ‘I will be fine’ you try to convince yourself ‘they obviously liked me otherwise they wouldn’t have given me the job’.

Finally, after what feels like a lifetime you get off the bus near the SM building. Pausing for a second you look around you and then at the glass doors of the coveted SM building. You never understood the deal with these people who were all over artists, sure they sang and some of them where good looking, but obsessing over them? No that was not you. You knew some of your friends would go mad to hear that you were choreographing for them though. Not that you were going to tell them for a while as you didn’t want to tell them and then get fired. That would be way too embarrassing.

Your watch said it was 8.55. ‘What? How have I been out here for 10 minutes I am going to be late’ you scolded yourself, before running into the building towards the front desk until you waked into a solid body who caught you before you fell over. Pink cheeked you looked up to your saviour to see the smallest member of that group SHINee you met before in the interview. “I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you I thought I was going to be late and” “Hey, it’s alright” he smiled “But I think you will find you more slammed into me than bumped”. You were humiliated. You hadn’t been in the building for 5 minutes and you had already hurt a member of a group you could be working with. You bowed deeply “I hope that I did not hurt you and my sincerest apologies if I have”. When you looked up, he looked at you with such a smile that you couldn’t help but smile back. “I remember you from the interview. You got the job? What is your name and where are you going?” “Yes I did thanks to you and your group. I am ___ and I don’t know I must check in at the desk I think” “Congratulations on getting the job. It is a pleasure to meet you, I am SHINee’s Kim Jonghyun and let’s go to the desk and find out for you”. Kim Jonghyun. You mused over what a nice name he had as you both made your way to the desk and you signed yourself in. “You are on the 3^rd floor today in dance room 2. You will be with Red Velvet preparing for their live performances”. You thanked the receptionist and turned to Jonghyun “Thank you again for helping me and I hope you work well today” “I will work hard and pleasure was all mine ___. I hope that you work hard also and enjoy your first day. Congratulations again, goodbye”. He bowed and walked away as you ran up the stairs trying to find dance room 2.

You finally found it, while everyone turned to you as the door creaked open. “Hello” you bowed “I am ___ and I have been sent to help you prepare for your live performances”. They all smiled at you “Hello ___ we are Red Velvet” they all said in unison. You were taken aback ‘do they always do speak together or is it just to introduce themselves?’ “It is lovely to meet you all. Would you mind telling me all your names so that we can help you individually?” “Of course not, I am Irene” you smiled and before you could say hello back the girl next to Irene started speaking “Hello, I’m Seulgi. Nice to meet you I will work hard”. After Seulgi the last three all introduced themselves and expressed their readiness to work hard and get started. How lucky you were to have got such a lovely group for your first day. “Hello everyone, it is a pleasure to work with you all, I will work as hard as possible to make you the best you can be. Do you need anything choreographed or just need to tighten things up?” You were hoping for the latter as although choreographing would be interesting you would be able to get a feel for the groups style and get closer to the girls, though by the looks of them some of them where older than you. “We just need to tighten up today, but we will need choreography soon for our new single ‘Would U’” ‘perfect’ you thought. “Brilliant, let’s get started then”.

You put on the music and started watching them perform a song called ‘Rookie’ which was one of their most popular songs. Little did you know Jonghyun had been standing by the slightly open door that you forgot to close listening to what you had to say and see you trying to help the girls with some moves. He couldn’t help smiling at you, you seemed like such a perfect fit. It didn’t matter that you weren’t Korean and obviously had no clue when it came to K-pop he just had the confidence that you would help make amazing dances for all the acts in the SM family.

It was a long and exhausting day and in the end, you realised that you would need to bring at least on spare pair of clothes with you to get changed into at the end of the day as you sweated more than you had since your dance training days. You thanked Red Velvet for their hard work and spoke about how you couldn’t wait to work with them again and you were made happier as they reciprocated your feelings. As they walked away you started to put everything you had used out of the way. ‘I wonder if I will work with them tomorrow? And if not them then who?’ the thoughts of who you would be with kept coming to your mind until a knock at the door snapped your attention away. “Hello, can we come in?” You recognised the voice, but you couldn’t pin point from where. “Come in” you called and the 5 members from SHINee all bustled into your room and you couldn’t help but laugh at the way they all tried to get through the door at the same time. Jonghyun spoke first “Did you have a good day?” he knew you had a wonderful day as he had been spying on you at various points, but he didn’t want to come off as a stalker seeing as he had only just met you. “It was amazing thank you, Red Velvet were so good. I can’t wait until tomorrow”. You sounded even more enthusiastic than he had predicted. “I have to go back home now though, it was lovely to meet you all again though”. You waved goodbye to them as you picked up your bag, coat and walked out of the door. ‘What a first day, Red Velvet, SHINee I’m going to have to tell my friends all about it’.
