It wasn't like Jin wanted to be attracted to Tae, dammnitt. A third-year falling for a first-year wasn't exactly common practice, but he couldn't help it.

The younger Ravenclaw and his bright eyes and boxy grins had wormed their way into his heart so pleasantly and so securely that he hadn't noticed in time to protest. Before he knew it, he'd developed a weakness for the boy, unable to deny his whims or stop the concern that always blossomed in regards to his well-being.

In his first six months at Hogwarts, TaeHyung had managed to get into more trouble than Jin had in his entire lifetime. It was nervewracking! But it was also fun and the most gratifying occupation Jin had outside of cooking.

Point blank: Jin felt good when Tae was around. There was never a dull moment or a put-down, he was just happy-- Happy to be alive, happy to be a wizard, happy to be himself and beyond ecstatic that they'd met and become close the way they had.

If only TaeHyung would love him back.
