Smile for Hoya

Girl meets Boy

"Who were you talking to just now dears?" Dad came to the shop floor, one of his eyebrows raised.

"An extremely arrogant gu--," I was about to finish my sentence until mum interrupted.

"An extremely lovely boy who will come to visit this coffee shop!" She said excitedly. I rolled my eyes at her teenage girl instincts.

"More lovely than me?" Dad said in a sad tone. Here we go again...

"Of course not darling!" My mum cooed, rushing up to dad and hugging him.

"Okay guys, I'm officially leaving this premises," I pressed sharply.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked startled.

"I guess I'll go get some food... what do you want me to get?"

With a huge list of items to get I was sent out in a hurry.

"Ah, I forgot... I have no clue where to go," I sighed and started walking. If I just keep walking along, a supermarket might pop up I thought hopefully.

"Neo ilh-eo beolyeoss-eo?" Someone said behind me. I spun around and saw a friendly looking male smiling at me brightly. But what did he say?

"Ah, err... sorry; I don't understand Korean," I looked down, embarrassed.

"Ohhh... you English right?" I looked up at him, hoping that he could speak good English.

"I not good at English..." he paused, but his eyes lit up. "Google translate!" He took out his phone and started typing something. With electric sparking in his eyes, he his phone screen in my face. I saw some Korean words with an English translation underneath. It said: 'are you lost?'

I nodded slightly; he brought his phone back to himself and typed something else. The translation was: 'what are you looking for?' After I read it, I gently took his phone and typed in that I was looking for a supermarket.

"Ahhh, ne, ne!" He suddenly clutched my wrist and gently tugged me behind him.

"Hey! Steady on!" I yelled. I could hear a cute laugh escape from his mouth. I could faintly see the untidiness of his hair, a soft brown colour which glowed in the sunset. I smiled to myself and picked up my pace beside him. "I'm not a dog you know?"

"Dug?" He questioned. He shot me a confused glance. I just shook my head and laughed. I looked up at him and saw his tight lipped smile, resulting in his cheeks stretching out.

After minutes of silence, the boy finally stopped and pointed at a huge supermarket. "It here!" His voice crackled with delight. I bowed down and thanked him, even though he probably didn't understand.

"Gidalim!" I heard him shout. I turned around and looked at him with wide eyes, "my name is Jung Hoseok!" With that he ran off like a little child. How could you not smile for that adorable bundle?
