My Mistake:

I knew from the start.

Loving you would be a mistake yet I ignored my gut feelings and kept you by my side.

I thought that if I kept you by my side and helped you in any ways possible, you might change your mind about me.

You might actually give me a chance and accept me into your life.

I tried everything I could, I gave you the best of everything but I guess money could not buy everything in this world.

I would have spent any amount of money if only I could get your love.

But, I guess it was not meant to be. 

You still loved her after what I had done for you.

What did she have that I didn't that made you love her so much?

Tell me that and I'll change for your sake.

It hurts me so much to let you go but I had to put on a mask to hide my pain and smile for you.

Sometimes I ask myself, if I could turn back time, what would I have done instead?

But in my heart, I already knew that I would still foolishly go through all the pain once again and continue to love you.

It was dumb, I know. But I'm under the spell of love.
