And that's when you realise, you're drowning 

 

Your throat dries up,

And for a second, your heart stops beating.

It gets harder and harder to breathe.

Your vision blurs with the tears you've been trying so hard to hold.

You don't want to hear,

You can't hear. 

It's getting too loud.

It's getting too cold.

Numb.

You can't move. 

And you feel yourself falling. 

 

Falling.

 

 

Falling into the deep dark waters. 

You try to swim, to stay afloat.

But the more your struggle,

The deeper you fall.

And that's when you realise,
