We're destructive. We might not know it but we are. 

We destroy everything and everyone. 

We destroy ourselves, inside and out.

We feed ourselves with terrible lies and overwhelming negativity that we're left feeling empty and foolish.

We talk to ourselves as if we were someone else, telling ourselves how unworthy we are, how ugly we are.

And we push each other away, hurting those who genuinely care.

We deny and continue living in a world full of pretence. 

Killing ourselves and those around us.

We wallow in self-pity, forcing ourselves to be smaller than we truly are.

We let ourselves fall into helplessness and misery.

And I should know. 

Because I am destructive too.

I know, how I push people away and how i feed myself with lies and negativity.

How I promise myself foolish things, speaking empty words just to feel better.

How I deny reality and run away from things that scare me. 

I know how it is and just like hurricanes,

I am destructive.
