Changkyun was a decent driver. He never drove past the speed limit, he followed the traffic lights accordingly, and he was never asked to pull over by street cops just to give him a ticket. He stayed relaxed yet focused whenever he took the wheels and thankfully, his wife, Regina never breathed down on his neck like some, usual married couples do whenever the husband and the wife knew how to drive.

But he lost his streak of being a safe driver today, when he tried to beat the red light. He was too focused on getting to the hospital as fast as he can when he heard a police siren blaring from outside, and when he looked at the left side mirror, he saw a full uniformed street officer riding his motorbike. Cold sweat erupted from his forehead when he saw that the officer was trying to catch up to him.

“Good day to you, sir.” The officer pushed his sunglasses out of his eyes.

Changkyun was beyond intimidated. And whenever he gets flustered, he’d be a stuttering mess. “Good day to you too, officer — you see — my wife, she was rushed to the hospital because she’s in labor with our very first baby girl and —”

“Whoa there, sir,” the officer chuckled. “Calm down.”

The younger was too dumbstruck to even mutter a reply, but it seems that he didn’t need to when the officer started talking again. “First, I’d like to congratulate you, sir.
