It's You, Baby“It’s okay, Jongdae. Say hi to Teoh for me. See you tomorrow, then,” Baekhyun ended the phone call with a satisfied smile.
“So Teoh’s not coming tonight?” Kai asked as he did some stretching before the show began.
“Nope,” Kai was a bit upset at the answer making Baekhyun felt disbelief. “Do you really expect a three year old boy would enjoy the night watching you spin and bent your spine?”
“You look happy for someone who’s not meeting his boyfriend tonight,” Kai countered Baekhyun sharp statement.
“I got a date tomorrow for exchange. Since you’re the star for tonight, Jongdae will only look at you, so why not having him all for myself tomorrow. You’re still going to Seoul tomorrow, right? It’s a win-win situation, then,” Baekhyun pulled out receipts that nobody ever asked. Kai got disturbed by the fact that he needed to go to Seoul for his closure. All he needed to do was performed his best tonight and continued his searching for answer tomorrow.
“Kai, you’re next. Get ready,” a shout broke Kai from his reverie and he stepped forward to the stage. He’s ready.
Kai ended the performance with a bang and got a standing ovation from the audience. He took his signature bow before taking sights of his audience when he noticed a familiar smile. The smile seemed unchanged despite looked a bit sadder than the usual proud one. But Kai still knew it was the same smile by heart. He rushed out from the stage and struggled to go to the source of the smile as his performance was the finale so people were moving in and out of the auditorium. He had to apologise for rejecting some autograph and photograph requests along the way. He was dejected when he reached the seat he assumed the right place when he saw no one there. He looked around to make sure he was wrong or maybe he was right. He was such a mess until someone held his shoulder.
