Six:
On Immortality:We've moved again.
There's nowhere left to go but Busan.
But it's alright.
Sumin's still with me.
We have a place to stay, too.
Sumin's relatives lives here.
They're so wonderful, Youngjae.
I'd like to do something for them after the war.
It's been weeks.
We really have no where left.
Americans are coming,
little by little.
Sumin is fascinated.
They're all so tall and long.
Long noses and legs and arms and necks.
I've never seen yellow hair before.
Or black skin.
They're so friendly.
They let us touch their hair.
They have something called gum.
It's white and rubbery and they tell us not to swallow it.
They tell us of a MacArthur.
They say he'll save us.
