Mr. PossessiveYoona picked up the incoming phone call.
“Mr. Ok’s office, how may I help you?” she reached out for a pen and notepad, writing down promptly on what was delivered through the phone. “Mr. Ok is in a meeting at the moment but I’ll tell him you called. Thank you.”
She has been picking up several calls during the morning because of Taecyeon’s meeting with the marketing team. She knew he was going to be busy just before noon. Jessica walked into her office to stack a pile of folders.
“Here Yoona, I have Mr. Ok’s recent files for assortment.”
“Oh thank you Jessica. Leave them at the other table and I’ll review them once I’m done typing this itinerary.”
The clock ticked by and it was almost time for lunch. Yoona placed the items she needed into her purse, pausing when she saw Taecyeon’s figure standing by her office door.
She cleared . “Mr. Ok I hope your meeting went well this morning.”
He grinned. “Yes it has,” he didn’t move from his spot. “Were there anything important for me to attend to?”
“No sir, I have left notes in your office about a few phone calls.”
“I see. Miss Im, care to have lunch with me?”
Her heart skipped. “Mr. Ok?”
He motioned forward with his head. “Come on, let’s go get lunch.” He walked down the hallway, not even waiting for her response.
Yoona rushed to the elevator in time. “Mr. Ok I’m not sure if this is right, I uh…I’m having lunch with Jessica.”
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll take you to a good place.”
“But Mr. Ok–”
“Please call me Taecyeon when it’s just the two of us.”
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to have lunch with you Taecyeon.”
Taecyeon wrapped an arm around her waist. “I won’t take no for an answer Yoona. I’m the boss remember?”
Yoona blushed when she felt him pulling her close to his side. She remained quiet after that, not bothering to argue no longer. One lunch wouldn’t hurt as she thought.
It was a traditional Korean restaurant that probably served the rich because of its luxurious interior and the prices allocated in the menu. She gasped at the astounding prices of the main courses. What was this place?!
Taecyeon looked up from his menu to see Yoona’s jaw hanging wide open. He chuckled to himself, “What are you having Yoona?”
She lifted her gaze up to his. What was she going to say? “Taecyeon…I uh…think I have to pass this lunch over uh…” she stuttered.
“Don’t be silly Yoona. Of course you don’t have to worry about paying the bill, just see this as my treat.”
“But–”
Taecyeon called for the waitress as he didn’t wait for what she has to say. “We’ll have the usual,” he told her.
“Yes Mr. Ok.”
The usual? So Taecyeon has been here for like a couple of times for them to remember his order? And they even remembered his name. Yoona covered her face with the menu in defeat. She started to regret this opportunity of lunch with him. The silence between them wasn’t too settling though Taecyeon was only scrolling through his phone. She played with her fingers on her lap.
The waitress placed their cups of tea on their table. “We’ll be right back in a minute with the dishes Mr. Ok.”
He nodded in response.
Yoona looked at him in confusion. “In a minute? Didn’t we just order like five minutes ago?”
“It’s a fast service here,” he explained. “And I’m an honorary customer, my needs are to be met quickly,” he said with an arrogant smirk.
She rolled her eyes slightly. “I see…”
“How do you find your job so far Yoona?”
“It’
