Author's Note
Blood of Seiryuu #2Author’s Note
This is SeoJooRi, or Zora, or CruelAuthor, whichever one you prefer to call me by. I am writing this author’s note, heart filled with unspeakable bittersweet-ness. TDH series is the longest story I have ever written, and initially I wanted to put all the chapters into one book, but figured out that some readers would probably be bored of it, and so, I split them into two parts. One with a lot of mind-guessing, and the final one with a bit of twist and turn here and there.
Hello to all of you who frequently commented. Of course I know you. I am always so excited to see your names popping out in the comment section, to know your thoughts after reading my chapters. Sometimes I selfishly update quickly when there are more comments urging me to update. Thank you for your support. Sorry I can’t list down all your names here. Just know I am so, so grateful to your critics and advices. I enjoyed the fangirling moments with all of you.
Now moving to the recommendation part. You would be confused with the characters I created, especially Sehun, Jongin and Joonmyun. Truth be told, I wrote their emotions based on mine. So when I was angry, they would seem particularly cruel and bitter, and when I was happy, they were mushy and flirty. They were inspired from the main trio in Tong Hua’s novel Lost You Forever: Jing, Xiang Liu and Zhuan Xu. Sehun as Jing, like the earth, always dependable. Jongin as Xiang Liu, free like the wind, and Joonmyun as Zhuan Xu, his passion and ambition for the clan burning like fire. Sena is just a character of mine that is partly like me when I was seventeen; selfish, rash, spoilt, ready to fire at anyone. I like her character development, because she is the one I felt most passionate about. I guess main inspiration comes from Marie Lu Young Elites’s Adelina: someone so bitter and angry at the world and wants revenge.
The main guy changes all the time, depending on the current mood. Until half of this story, I was planning to make Sehun the main character, but it came to a halt all of a sudden because I wanted Jongin’s name to be immortalised in the best way possible, and it just isn’t possible for Sena to get together with Sehun after all he’s done to Jongin.
I gotta end this because it’s too long and you guys are probably going to skip this author’s chatty note. Okay. That’s about it, really. Ideas come from everywhere. It just sorts of popped out whenever I am writing. Thank God I haven’t gotten any writer’s block for this one. So anyway, thanks. A lot. This journey doesn’t feel so lonely with you by my side.
XOXO.
