We kissed. We really kissed. And even though I didn’t want it to be good because I had a boyfriend, I couldn’t help but like it. He knew how to kiss- well, as far as this was considered a real kiss. Just lips pressing against lips, no tongue or lip action.

He seemed to enjoy it too, because his hands came up to touch my face and pulled me closer. This was not what I expected from this evening. Few seconds later I pulled away, opened my eyes and went to sit down again. He looked at me and smirked. Nobody spoke. We all eyed each other, waiting for someone to say something.

“Uh… Well. It’s late, so I’m gonna go inside. Have a good night.” And with these words I practically ran inside, not looking back. I didn’t want to see their faces after that.

Back inside I let out the breath I didn’t know I was holding. . Should I tell Zico about it? But he’s not here and he wasn’t a very good boyfriend to begin with, and this was not even a real kiss, just a dare! And I didn’t feel anything- okay that was a lie, but every kiss is special. Even with my previous boyfriends.

Wuah I didn’t know what to think. The best thing to do now is bathing. I can relax and stop thinking about it. He probably forgot about it. Didn’t think about it further.

As I was laying in my bathtube and relaxed, my doorbell rang. Who would that be? The boys could just come in from behind, I didn’t lock the door. But who would come at this hour?

Suddenly I sprung up. Zico! Who else? Drying myself I hoped he was still there when I arrived. It’s been a few minutes since he rang the bell.

Running to my door I opened it and was greeted with a smirk.

“Missed me?” He said and came closer. A wide smile spread on my face and I hugged him.

“I thought you would be gone another few weeks? Why are you back?” I was really happy to see him.

“I just came by to tell you I’ll be gone even longer, but I wanted to spend some time with you. Sorry babe” So that is why he was here. Not cool at all. But I was happy to at least see him once in all that time.

“When do you have to go?” I sighed. What could I do else than to accept it?

“Tomorrow at six, so I thought I could spend the night…?” He suggested. Oh no I was not that easy. He could sleep here, Mino did that too, but nothing more. I was a lady.

“Sure, you can sleep here. But nothing else. Our relationship is still new!” I scolded him. He seemed to understand, but I didn’t tell him I had nothing against a steamy make-out session.

Just then I was reminded of the kiss. I should really tell him. But after I made out with him, that would be better.

Five minutes later we found ourselves in my bed, making out. Zico was gentle, his touches were sincere. My heart fluttered every single time. But there was still my confession I had to make.

…

“Zico? I have to tell you something” I hesitated. Would he be mad? Indifferent?

“Yes baby girl? What is it?” He was curious. I would be too, if I was him.

“Okay, please just hear me out. So we played truth or dare and-“ I hadn’t even started with my confession when he interrupted.

“Who is we? Your neighbours again? In don’t like them.” He replied.

“Yeah I know, but that is not what I wanted to tell you. So like I said we played, and I kinda chose dare and had to kiss one of them.”

“But you didn’t. Because you have a boyfriend, isn’t that right? Haneul? Why are you not looking at me? Don’t tell me you did it!” He was getting louder each second. Uh-oh. This won’t end good.

“I- It- How- it was a dare, okay?! And it wasn’t really a kiss, nothing as steamy as our make out. Just lips to lips. And it was just one time. So please don’t be mad at me!” It was unfair how he was blaming me. If he had been there and had been a good boyfriend, then maybe this wouldn’t have happened.

“…” He was at a loss of words. Too calm. “…Who?” Oh no, why was he asking that.

“Do I have to tell you? You have to swear to not do anything to him!” I didn’t know what he would do to him. They were my friends. Zico thought about it for a short moment and nodded.

“At first, they don’t know that you are my boyfriend. Until we had our first date we’re gonna be a secret. And like I said, it was just a small kiss, nothing more. You have to understand-“

“stop with your rambling and just tell me who!” He finally had enough. But shouting at me wouldn’t help in his case.

“…Mino...” I told him.

“What did you say? Haneul, please. I don’t wanna play games.”

“…Mino. Okay? It was Mino!” Silence. Zico was staring intently at me and I was staring right back. After 2 minutes that felt like an hour, he turned around, took his jacket and shoes and was out the door. By the time I was out of my trance and ran to the door, he was gone. .

“Leo? Leo?! Where are you?” As I thought about it, I hadn’t seen Leo in a while. He didn’t come back, wasn’t by my side the whole day…

I started searching for him, just to not think about my fight with Zico. Who knows where he is now. After having searched my whole house and not finding a clue of where Leo might be, I ran outside.by now I was worried of him. What if he ran away? I hadn’t really cared for him in the last few weeks!

Going over to Hanbin and Bobby, I asked them if they saw Leo around in the last 24 hours. Both of them said they would help and look for him around the neighbourhood with their friends, so I was very grateful.

As I went over to Mino, I didn’t know how we would act around each other. Something would have changed, I guessed. But as he opened the door, sleepy and with messy bed hair, I knew he wouldn’t act any different.

“Sorry to disturb your sleep, but Leo’s gone. And I’m real-really afraid I’ll never … never see him again” I was nearly crying by the time I finished. What if we didn’t find Leo? What if he was hurt? Or dead?

“Hey hey, come on in. I’m gonna make some hot chocolate for the both of us” Mino let me come inside and I followed him to the kitchen. “Leo’s surely on his way home. Maybe he saw a y catwoman and just had to have her.” That last sentence brought a smile to my face.

“Thanks Mino. You’re great. What would I do without you?” He smiled at me when I complemented him.

“You wouldn’t have to cheat on your boyfriend just hours before.” His answer was cynical. How the hell did he know I had a boyfriend now.

“How?” I asked him. He understood just with one word what I wanted.

“I saw him come inside. Don’t worry, I don’t know who that guy is.” He assured me.

“Yeah, but we fought because of that kiss. And no, it’s not your fault. It’s his. He wasn’t there for me the last days. And I told him about that kiss. And that just walked away without a word.” I was pouring my heart out. And I didn’t mind. Mino understood me. We sat in his kitchen and drank hot chocolate. He comforted me and it felt nice.

“I’m- I’m sorry. That you fought I mean. How long are you together?” And this was why Mino was great. He cared.

“Not that long. Few days. We didn’t have a date yet because, uh, because he’s busy” I couldn’t tell him everything or he would suspect it being Zico.

“Sounds like an . Like, why not make time for the girl he likes? You don’t deserve that. Haneul…”

“But otherwise he’s really sweet and caring and I just hope we’ll get more time together.” This conversation just turned into a psychological talk. Weird.

“Just let it be. Leo’s more important now than that-“ I couldn’t finish my sentence. Leo. Where are you? When will you be back?

Mino just came over and hugged me again. It was comforting. He helped me just by being with me while the boys searched the neighbourhood.

“Do you want some alcohol to drown your worries?” he asked.

“I still have some alcohol in my blood from our evening, but sure, gimme!” Everything was better than just sitting here and doing nothing.

“And- and once I got lost in the woods without anyone knowing- even Eunji didn’t know. You know what I did? I just stood still and cried.” We laughed our off. Telling old stories that weren’t even funny.

“I kissed Taehyun once!” Mino revealed.

“HAHAHAHAHA! Cute. Is he a good kisser? I bet his lips are all soft” I . Who would have known Mino kissed another guy?

“Shut UP!” He was laughing as well and threw a cushion at me.

“Hey! I have glass in my hand! Stop it. By the way, do you both have a shipping name? Taeno? Minhyun? Na that’s boring. Nam- uh Namsong? Yes that’s it!” The alcohol got to me. I was laughing my off. Literally.

“Okay, that’s it!” With these words he threw himself at me. I predicted that and was half a meter away from him. Sticking my tongue out I threw a pillow at him.

Shortly after his living room was a mess. Pillows were laying everywhere while Mino sat above me and was tickling me.

“HAHAHA Mino stop! I can’t take it anymore! I give up! You win!” The tickling brought tears into my eyes.

Silence was what followed. Nobody said anything. Just then the doorbell rang.

“That’s probably Bobby or Hanbin or one of their friends!” I stood up as fast as I could- with Mino on top of me- and ran/tumbled to the door. The alcohol was still in my system.

I opened the door and was greeted by Bobby’s smirking face. In his arms was a furry thing.

“Omo Leo! Thank you Bobby! Thank you sooo much! And you Leo, come here. I’m gonna scold you like no tomorrow!” With these words I took Leo into my arms. He looked at me, turned and went inside Mino’s home. But Bobby still had something furry in his arms.

“This cute guy was with him. We couldn’t separate them. Sorry, seems like you have two cats now” Looking at that cute little kitty I couldn’t help but aww. I wouldn’t mind having two cats, I was just so happy to have Leo back.

“how can I thank you for this?” I looked up at him. The small kitty went inside behind Leo and both of them sat on the couch.

Bobby started smirking again. “Just give me a kiss, then it’s settled” Glaring at him for a short while, Bobby understood I wouldn’t do that. Seemingly disappointed he searched for another way for me to pay them back.

“Then just spend a whole day with me. And Hanbin probably. Is that okay?” I was more than okay with that. They were my friends, so I had nothing against it.

“Yeah sure, just text me when and where., thank you again” Bobby smiled and then turned and walked away. As I went back inside I found Mino sitting on the couch beside two sleeping cats, softly smiling and thinking. Coughing rather loud he looked up and smiled at me.

“Seems like they like my house and my couch. Sorry” He was not sorry. But the real problem was that now I couldn’t leave. I couldn’t leave my Leo behind.

“Uh- well- actually- can I… can I sleep here?” I asked.

“Yeah sure. My bedroom. Go on” I didn’t want him to give up his bed for me, but he wouldn’t waver. No matter what arguments I brought up, he neglected them. That is how I found myself in his room on his bed. It smelled like him. Comforting and warm. Mino was a really good friend.

What would I do without him.

With thoughts of the day I drifted off to dreamland.
