Chansung knows the second he sees her that something has changed. She’s not looking at him the way she used to and he gets the sense that her entire world has shifted.

She doesn’t stutter through her explanation the way she would have before and, although he is as disappointed as he thought he’d be, he’s not as disappointed as he should be.

They really did like each other, he knows that, but in the end a crush is just a crush and what she’s talking about is something else entirely. Chansung is genuinely happy, if a little envious, that Soohyun gets to experience that kind of love despite the fact that it’s not with him. And so, he smiles and ruffles her hair, before getting up, saying goodbye and letting her go.
