Myungeun looked out the cafe window. Snowflakes were slowly falling down on the dark city at night. She sighed when one particular body headed towards the entrance of the cafe.

“ Why did he even bother talking here? We could’ve just talked back at the shop.”

Once the familiar shadow took his place in front of Myungeun and sat down, she sighed.

“ Yah, Soonyoung ah, why did you call me to this place? We could’ve just talked back at the office, “ The girl looked around her sugfrroundings before rubbing her arms behind her jacket. “ Yah, we could get caught…”

Soonyoung chuckled at the girl’s nervous behavior. “ Your anxiety is acting up. We’re not going to get caught. “ With this, he smirked at Myungeun’s gawked expression. “ I trust Seungcheol hyung, don’t you? “

“ Seungcheol, seungcheol, seungcheol…” That name didn't ease Myungeun at all, it just made her feel worse.  

“ Enough, tell me what you brought me here for so that we can leave. “ The girl placed her chin in her hands. “ What’s so special that you brought me on this date? “

Soonyoung chuckled, this time, a little darker. “ You won’t find this a date after I tell you “

Myungeun blinked. “ what do you mean by that? “

Soonyoung let out a deep breathe. He held this in for a long time, but he had no idea on how to tell s. He was afraid that it would create a rift between them, and s were the only family he has after his parents disowned him by his secret.

Myungeun jumped when she felt his hands holding her tightly, hardening his grip each second. “ yah… what..ar-are you doing? “ She stuttered.

Soonyoung smiled. “ Myungeun, you know how much I love you, right?”

“ Is...Is he about to propose to me?? “ Myungeun mentally freaked out.

“ I hope you feel the same way about me, Myungeun ah. “ He softly let out.

Myungeun felt her entire face flush with his sudden confession. “ What’s this about? “

Soonyoung’s gaze darkened. “ Tell me Myungeun, what if Jiyeon asked you out? “

“ Excuse me? “

The boy didn't let go of his expression. “ How would you react?”

Myungeun frowned at Soonyoung. “ I wouldn’t know how to react. I haven’t experienced something like that. But Soonyoung, why are you asking me that? Are you trying to confess to me? “

Soonyoung stared at the girl in front of him. “ You’re so innocent…”

“ Soonyoung, answer me. “ Myungeun pleaded.

“ Myungeun, would you still be by my side if I told you I was in love with someone of the same gender as me? “

“ Same gender? Is he…? “

“ Soonyoung, are you….. Gay? “

“ Biual would be the proper term, since i still check out girls. “ Soonyoung laughed.
Myungeun let out a weak smile and grabbed his chin  “ How long have you been keeping this in? “

Soonyoung, expecting disgusting remarks from Myungeun, widened his eyes at the girl’s sudden actions. “ A while now, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell you guys when I confirmed it. “

Myungeun took the hand she used for his chin and placed it on the top of her friend’s head. “ Do the others know? “
Soonyoung shook his head. “ Only Joshua hyung, Wonwoo, and now you know. I’m not sure if i’m ready to tell the others.

“ Joshua...Hong Jisoo…..Kim Jiyeon...Jiyeon unnie….”

Myungeun bit her lip. “ Who’s this person ...you love?”

Soonyoung frowned. “ That’s the thing….it’s one of the members…”

Myungeun widened her eyes. “ Who is it? “

Soonyoung weakly smiled. “ It’s our very own Mingyu. I’m in love with Kim Mingyu. “

“‘ You’re kidding…”

Soonyoung scoffed. “ Yeah, I’m kidding, I’m proposing to you because I want to be the father of your kids. “

Myungeun flicked his forehead, receiving a painful yelp from Sooyoung. “ I’m serious, Soonyoung.”

The boy rubbed the placed he got hit. “ Why do you always abuse me? “ Soonyoung closed his eyes. “- and no, to answer your question, I’m not. I love Mingyu, and I’m planning to ask him out. “

Myungeun frowned. “ You haven’t told the others yet, and now you want to ask him out? That’s not how it works…”

“ We’ll make it work. “ Soonyoung looked at Myungeun's fearful expression and smiled. “ Don’t worry so much, I’m strong enough to handle all the hate.”

Myungeun pouted. “ What if you get rejected? How would you handle that?”

The boy frowned at Myungeun's question. “ Now that, is something I have to experience. “

Soonyoung coughed. “ Enough about me, what are you going to do about Jiyeon?”

Myungeun squinted. “ How did you find out? I only told Joshua…”

Soonyoung clicked his tongue. “ Exactly, Joshua Hyung told me. Plus, Jiyeon finding out that her ex boyfriend is still alive will cause her some distress. Honestly Myungeun,  you should’ve told us that you were going to bring her beforehand. “

Myungeun scowled. “ Jiyeon unnie has been having some trust issues with me lately , and it’s been bothering that she greets me with a glare when I come home. “

“ Well, that’s what you get for joining a gang. Your close peers start questioning you as a person. “

Myungeun sighed. “ I know, that’s why I want to leave. “

Soonyoung widened his eyes. “ Don’t. Even though you’re a female, you’re on of our strongest members. Plus, you do know you’ll have to go through a violation...and because you're a girl...you know….” This time, it was Soonyoung who felt worried for Myungeun's future. “

“ I don’t know what to do. Joshua is Jiyeon unnie’s ex, Seungcheol probably hates me, and the others see me as weak after refusing to train for murder. I don’t think I’m cut off for this lifestyle. I still love you guys , but just the way we live doesn't put me at ease. “

“ Listen Myungeun,  I understand how you feel, but this is the fastest way we can earn money. What other jobs offer huge amounts of money? “

Myungeun put her head in her palm. “ actual careers like doctors and Lawyers. “

Soonyoung closed his eyes and bit his lip in annoyance. “ Alright, forget about the reasons. The real issue is how are we going to deal with your friend. “

“ I’ll have to discuss that with Joshua. We’re both in the same boat here. “

Soonyoung sighed. “ you never want to discuss anything private unless Joshua pleads you.

Myungeun squirmed. “ Speaking of Joshua, why did he use english name? What’s wrong with Jisoo? “

“ His korean name reminds him of Jiyeon, only Seungcheol hyung, Jeonghan hyung, and Wonwoo are allowed to call him by his Korean name. Don’t get any ideas Myungeun,  he seems like he won’t harm you, but Joshua hyung is seriously scary when he’s mad. Ask Jihoon. “

“ Let’s just go, I don’t like the atmosphere in this café. “

Jiae scrunched her nose. Jiyeon had been looking through old photos of her relationship with Jisoo,  and the older girl didn't know how to react.

“ Listen, Jiyeonie, I understand that you miss Jisoo, but you have to let him go. “

Jiyeon didn’t look up from her place. “ I know, I am. But something about Jisoo is bothering me. “

Jiae tilted her head. “ What is it? “

The younger scoffed “ He looks really handsome with ear piercings. “

“ What? Jisoo never had ear piercings ?”

Jiyeon smiled. The way she smiled, however, scared Jiae. It looked like she was hiding something dark, so the way her expression showed looked twisted.

“ … Jiyeon ?”

The younger girl just stared at the photo in front of her. It was a polaroid they took at a park near Jiyeon's house. Jiyeon squinted her eyes on Jisoo’s image. He never wore anything that wasn’t neat and professional. The image of Jisoo in ripped jeans and ear piercings appeared in Jiyeon’s memory.

“ he’s definitely not the same Jisoo I was in love with a year ago. “

“ Jiae unnie, what did you like about Jisoo ?”

Jiae looked up from her phone. “ my jisoo or your jisoo ?”

“ Mine. “

“ Ah. Well...he was really polite. Like, really polite. He was awkward at times, but that was a charm of his. “

Jiyeon her lip. “ I see. Have you ever imagined him as a boy boy? “

Jiae widened her eyes. “ That quick? What were you trying to look for?  “ Jiae walked over to Jiyeon and sat down.

“ I was starting to forget how he looked like back then. “ With that, she looked at Jiae, and gave her that twisted smile once again.

“ I’d like to visit him again. “

“ You’re seriously crazy, Kwon. What the , we just talked about this? “ Myungeun held on to Soonyoung’s arm and hardened her grip to prevent him from climbing up the stairs that led to his shared apartment with Mingyu .

Soonyoung grabbed Myungeun’s hand and tried to peer her hand away from him. “ Let go of me, I know what I’m doing. “

“ No you don't, think this through! Please, Soonyoung, give it some time before you confess to Mingyu. “ Myungeun fell to the ground and held on to his leg, using her whole body to prevent him from walking.

Soonyoung groaned. “ Myungeun, please. Let me go. I can’t wait anymore. I have to know how Mingyu feels about me. “ He kneeled down and looked straight into her eyes. “ Look, wait here. I’ll come out and tell you the results. “

Myungeun sighed and slowly let go of his leg. “ Don’t cry if he rejects you. I don't like seeing you guys cry. “

Soonyoung smiled. “ I’ll be back. “ He got and walked towards to door. When he looked back, Myungeun gave him a weak smile and put up a shy fist. “ Fighting! “ She whispered.

When Soonyoung entered the apartment,  Mingyu was in the kitchen. “ Hey hyung, how was the meeting with noona? “

“  you would ask about Myungeun first. “

“ Honestly , that girl gives me a headache. She was so stubborn about her decision. No wonder her and Wonwoo are always fighting. “ This earned a chuckle from Mingyu.

“ Please don’t laugh, you’re making my heart race. “

“ Noona is seriously really thick skinned when it comes to decisions. But she’s smart, so she usually makes things work. “

Mingyu looked over at Soonyoung, who was staring at him.

“ Is there something on my face? “ Mingyu asked, touching his face to look for the source his hyung was looking at so intently.

Soonyoung shook his head. The older let out a deep breath, and closed his eyes.

“ mingyu, how do you feel about me? “

Mingyu looked up the ceiling and clicked his tongue. “ You’re one the closest hyungs I have , so you’re special to me. “

“ I’m … special?  “

“ Mingyu, what if I told you that I love you? “

The younger male didn't look up from the stove and kept stirring. “ I love you too hyung, so that makes us even? “

Soonyoung raised an eyebrow. “ No, like I love you more than that.”

Mingyu frowned , but kept his gaze on the soup. “ I don’t understand ? “

The older male was fed up with Mingyu’s oblivious answers, so he took the hand the younger was using to stir the soup and held it with a tight grip. Mingyu, shocked by the older’s actions, tried to break away from the grip.

“ hyung, what are you doing? “ He squeaked.

Soonyoung gulped. “ Mingyu ah, I’m in love with you. Not in friendly way, but I have feelings for you. “

Mingyu frowned. “ Hyung…. “

Soonyoung looked down. “ I love you, Kim Mingyu. I hope that you feel the same way and accept my feelings. “

Silence lingered after his confession. “ Say something, idiot . “ Soonyoung thought.

Finally , Mingyu moved. However, he moved away from Soonyoung.

“ Hyung, I’m sorry. I love you, but not like that. I don’t think we can be like that. “

Soonyoung grimaced at his words. “ .”

“ We can still be friends, right ? “

Soonyoung growled. “ I don’t want that. “

Mingyu looked away. “ Hyung,  please. I’m sorry but I really can’t accept your feelings. “

The older male felt tears prick his eyes, threatening to fall. He looked down and sighed.

“ I guess that’s your answer. “ Soonyoung turned around and walked towards the door.

Mingyu widened his eyes. “ Hyung, where are you going? “

Soonyoung didn’t respond. He opened the door, looked at Mingyu’s black expression,  and slammed the door. When he walked towards Myungeun , the girl leaped from the car and ran to him.

“ How did it go????? What did Mingyu say???”

Soonyoung weakly smiled. “ How do you feel about going to the River right now? “

Myungeun cringed. “ Eh? “
