The fans were raving the day after their new year date. There were pictures of the two strolling down the streets hand in hand from the day before. Fans had managed to identify the two and immediately posted the pictures on social media.

Fans were overjoyed by the news as they had liked the idea of him and Irene as a couple from the start and their wishes finally came true. The two ranked number one in search engines in real time. The news had spread everywhere and more pictures were released. There were pictures of Irene wearing his jacket (The jacket Taehyung gave her was the perfect fit on her. The one Taehyub owned was too big for her so you can easily tell which one she's wearing based on how it fit on her despite the two jackets havung the same design.) There were pictures of their cafe date and late night strolls. On the same day, the two companies had released joint statements saying:

'After checking with Irene and V, we had confirmed that the news was indeed true. We do thank everyone for having very positive comments on this matter until now and we request that you look kindly upon the both of them.' -Big Hit Entertainment and S.M. Entertainment

Taehyung was lying down on the couch on his phone reading articles and getting himself updated on how people reacted. He did have second thoughts on going public but it was better than lying to the fans who had been supporting him from the start. It was a relief that fans were saying good things about them and that he didn't have to worry about Irene getting hurt.

He dialled Irene's number and smiled as the ringing had stopped signalling that she had picked up her phone.

"Hey" He said

"I'm nervous" She said and it was evident in her voice that she was indeed nervous.

"There's nothing to be nervous about Irene." He said calming her down.

"What if your fans hate me?" She questioned while making up different scenarios in her head.

"They don't. Stop thinking about it." He said through the line, smiling softly as he did so.

"But-" She started

"Do you want me to come over?" He suddenly asked causing her to stop.

Irene flushed at his sudden question but soon regained her composure and said "You would?"

"If you want me to, then yes. I would." He replied.

Taehyung was finally succeeding at calming her down and had ended the call after saying he'll be there in 15.

He went up to his room and grabbed his jacket and wallet before running to Namjoon's room.

"Hyung I'm heading out. I'll be back later." He said as the leader just raised an eyebrow at him before chuckling.

"Irene?" He asked lying sitting up on his bed.

"Yeah." He said smiling.

"Okay." Namjoon said and smirked

V ran through the hallway to the door to put on his shoes as soon as he got the leader hyungs permission. He put on his mask and his hood and grabbed a taxi and headed to the girls' dorm.

Taehyung rang the doorbell of the dorm and a few seconds later, a voice was heard through the intercom.

"Who is it?" A voice said probably belonging to Yeri.
