Surreal

A Simple Love

^ That picture was just too cute X3

Something Changmin knew about that neither Yunho nor Jaejoong did was the fact that Yoochun hated Junsu in the beginning. They met, talked, and Yoochun disgusted Junsu. It was the strangest thing how they ever got together. At times, Changmin thought Yoochun was going to kill Junsu if he didn’t stop being so annoying and clingy. But Yoochun didn’t touch Junsu. He was always trying to keep his distance.

Yoochun himself wasn’t sure why he did it. Maybe it was Junsu’s femininity; maybe it was Junsu’s high-pitched voice. Overall, he had to think back to when they reached the point that Yoochun started to realize what Junsu really meant to him to even know why he didn’t like Junsu at all in the first place.

It all started after their promotions for “O” finished…

“Hyung!” the 21-year-old singer called to the 22-year-old rapper.

Yoochun cringed. He hated that voice for plenty of reasons. It was high-pitched, much unlike a man’s. It should’ve been like that because he was supposedly one. But how could he possibly be sure? He wasn’t Junsu, and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know what it felt like to be him. Nor did he want to find out if he really was a male with s and a thirst for women’s bodies.

Junsu did his best to get Yoochun to pay attention to him. He was interested him, but that was only to say the least. There was something about Yoochun that set Junsu off like a rocket on the fourth of July. He couldn’t resist Yoochun’s deep voice, and the way he held his head high was a major turn-on. But he couldn’t just say this to Yoochun’s face! Yoochun would loathe Junsu even more if he even talked to him. Sometimes the world was cruel. But you had to keep moving and not let anything get in your way. That was what Junsu did.

“Yoochun hyung, do you want to go out and get lunch with me?” Junsu asked, trying to act cute.

“No,” Yoochun sneered coldly. He walked off right after.

Junsu still couldn’t give up. He followed Yoochun’s steps diligently. He wouldn’t let him get away without an explanation. “Why not?” Junsu questioned. He needed a real reason. He couldn’t—no, he wouldn’tlet Yoochun off with the simple act of “I’m tired” or “Because I don’t want to.” No, those were childish reasons, and grown men don’t act like children.

Yoochun sped up his pace. He was going to get away from Junsu no matter what it took. He didn’t want to hear that voice for any longer than he should have to, and listening to it in practice with Lee Soo Man was hard enough to deal with. One other thing about Junsu was his tendency to be a little pushy. He couldn’t stand it, especially when it involved him. Junsu would always get behind him and bug him. He sometimes wanted to turn around and yell in his face. But never hit him. There was a certain aura around Junsu that had Yoochun wondering if Junsu could take a hit or not. He sure didn’t look it, but he was a man after all. He had to be able to take a simple slap in the face.

Junsu still followed in hot pursuit. He wouldn’t let Yoochun get away, no matter what. “Are you really trying to get away from me? Come on, Hyung, lunch can’t be that bad with me. What’s so wrong to hang out with your best friend?” Junsu snickered.

Yoochun stopped in his tracks and spun on his heels to face Junsu with anger in his eyes. “Are you serious? You won’t leave me alone, will you? I’ve been dealing with you for nearly five years now! Won’t you ever go away?! I’m tired of you, got it? There’s nothing that interests me about you! Now just go away and don’t talk to me ever again!” With that, Yoochun walked off, this time without Junsu behind. He felt comfortable. But lingering deep down, something was off-balance. He could feel it.

Junsu was left in the dust, completely speechless. Never had Yoochun left such harsh words hanging in the air so clearly. He never really expected Yoochun to be so rude since he didn’t seem like the type. But he guessed you couldn’t really know people from the way they looked and acted around other people. Either Yoochun was hiding his true self from Junsu to save him the heartbreak, or Junsu was too blind to see the truth in Yoochun’s face to begin with.

Other than that, Junsu couldn’t believe it. The following weeks were silent for him. He sang when he needed to sing, and he danced when he needed to dance. It was that easy. He didn’t eat much which led to his being a little too underweight and needing to gain some. It wasn’t like Soo Man cared. He only wanted the money Junsu could bring in with his voice. The other members of DBSK obviously cared, but the one who cared the most was Yoochun himself.

Yoochun thought he was going crazy. He never felt his way about Junsu before, much less cared about his health. Sure he was special to the group and was one of the major factors in their harmonies and melodies, but his wellbeing wasn’t too important—not to Yoochun, that is. Apparently, the shifting of gears in his brain happened when he yelled at Junsu so many weeks ago, and since then, Junsu was all he could think about. He tried to sleep off the thoughts, but that only led to dreams about Junsu. Those were the worst. They consisted of kissing, touching, and sweet words he never thought of exchanging with his feminine band mate. The dreams didn’t scar him, though. They only made him think he had a strong connection with Junsu when really, they couldn’t be any farther apart.

Being a young man with very little to discuss with someone who he used to think he hated was hard. He didn’t know what to say to Junsu, so he went to Changmin.

Yoochun explained the whole situation to the maknae. Changmin was flabbergasted, completely unaware of what had been going on between his hyungs. He always thought they liked each other, but he was obviously wrong. He offered his best advice possible, telling him to go after Junsu and try to fix their broken ties with some sweet gestures. “Take him out to enjoy lunch or something,” the maknae said.

Yoochun’s mind immediately traveled to Junsu’s offer to go out with Yoochun for lunch a few weeks ago. He instantly felt guilty. He remembered how happy Junsu seemed to have been able to even ask the question. Yoochun nodded, thanking Changmin. He had the perfect way to apologize to Junsu. Even if he should’ve been disgusted to even think about what he had in mind, he actually enjoyed the feeling of his plan. It made him happy and brought him to become giddy.

Five minutes later, he was dragging Junsu out of the dorm with a disguise on both of them. Junsu was doing his best to stay away from Yoochun this time around. He didn’t want to face the one he had a crush on one-on-one. It would be awkward. It wouldn’t have been as awkward before Yoochun yelled at him, but it seemed a little strange to be with him alone since he knew how Yoochun really felt.

But if that was true, then why was he taking him out of the dorm forcefully without anyone making him do it? Or was that it? Was one of the other members forcing him to take Junsu out? Whoever was in the little scheme was going to get it from Junsu, but for the time being he had to focus on what was going to happen with Yoochun.

Yoochun took Junsu through a smelly secret passageway, one he had found after they moved into the dorm. It led to a secret building that was once a hotel, but wasn’t used anymore. It was hidden between all of the other buildings around it, and it was quiet and a safe-haven for Yoochun. He told Changmin he was going to take Junsu out for lunch, but that was too risky. He had to keep their meeting place secret so no fans would attack them. He had created the perfect plan—talk to Junsu secretly in this old, hidden, run-down hotel.

Surprisingly, it was perfectly neat on the inside. Nothing was out of order, and nothing was trashy. Despite the occasional spider web getting in his hair, Junsu couldn’t help but like the place. All the better, Yoochun was holding his hand as well.

The moment Yoochun and Junsu were in a room that Yoochun had designed himself, Junsu was pushed against the wall by Yoochun. Yoochun pinned Junsu’s hands by his head so he couldn’t move. This was what he had in mind to get Junsu to listen to him without running off in fright.

“Forgive me,” Yoochun begged instantly.

Junsu was shocked. He didn’t expect the one who hated him to apologize. Well, beg for forgiveness, at least. “W-what?” Junsu stuttered.

“Forgive me, Junsu. I’ve treated you wrongly for almost five years. I’ve finally realized that I was wrong, and I want you to forgive me. Even if you don’t, I’ll keep at it like you kept trying to get me to pay attention to you. That’s not a threat—it’s a promise.” With his final word, Yoochun released Junsu to let him freely do whatever he wanted. If he knew Junsu well enough from what information he had gathered over the years, then if Junsu was angry or sad, he’d walk away. But if he was going to happily accept Yoochun’s apology, then both Yoochun and Junsu would walk away winners.

Junsu had to think this over. Would Yoochun finally accept him if he let Yoochun into his life or would Yoochun play him like a fiddle and leave him in the dust to rot like a sun-dried earth worm? There was only one way to find out. This way couldn’t have been more risky for either man. Their nerves were on end, and they weren’t exactly used to it. So this was new for both of them.

Junsu took his risk and stepped towards Yoochun. He was at least three inches shorter than him. Junsu didn’t mind. It only increased the possibility of what he wanted to happen. Junsu’s eyes suddenly opened to their widest, but they fell closed. His heart raced. Butterflies filled his stomach and he couldn’t help but wrap his arms around Yoochun’s strong neck as they kissed. This was surreal to Junsu, but he had to accept it. He always wanted this, ever since pre-debut. It was perfect.

Junsu smiled. He couldn’t help but feel that he and Yoochun had come a long way from their previous relationship when it first started. He loved the feeling that Yoochun loved him back, but something was left to take care of to make their relationship perfect. He just couldn’t put his finger on it.

Just then, the phone rang. The three men looked at each other with quizzical faces. Then Changmin picked up the phone and answered, “Hello?”
