Chapter 5
Variety Royalty~*After a suggestion from ILoveMyWIFI (and Xxdreamergirl (; ), I decided to change the way I do my Korean to English translations. So instead of footnotes, the translation will be right beside the completed sentence. It'll also be smaller and in a different colour because I thought having the same size and colour text looked bad, and parenthesis were...inelegant. What do you think? Please let me know :3 Otherwise, enjoy the chapter! And let me know what you thought <3
“So, I bumped into ‘the girl who’s taking my place in variety history.’”
Mark and Youngjae looked up at their humble abode's intruder.
“And what’d you think?” Bambam asked, also coming into the living room.
Jackson scoffed. “She’s small, feisty but weak, and nothing to worry about.”
Youngjae turned to Mark, silently requesting for a bit of translating. Even though Paula, one of 2PM's non-celebrity friends, was adamant they all spoke English with her whenever they saw her around the Center, the group didn't see her as often as, well, 2PM.1

Sure enough, there Jaye was, sitting with Super Junior’s Ryeowook on KBS’s Kiss The Radio show.
“Okay,” Jackson started, getting up from his crouched position in front of the laptop to walk around the living room and also forgetting Youngjae couldn’t understand, “She’s not even an idol! How can she be on this program? And how is she already crossing all broadcasting platforms??”
Jr.2 and JB just came back home from practicing at the JYP Center when Mark said, “Dude, again, chill,” his eyes still glued to the screen. “It’s not like we don’t do that all the time, with all the music shows we go to,” the Californian continued, defending the girl he hadn’t ever met.
Jackson glared at his friend, ignoring the two members who walked into the room. “And as I said, she’s not an idol. She’s not even a comedian…She’s not a celebrity! How is it that she’s already everywhere in the media?”
“Oo-ri-neun moo-woe-sae dae-hae mal-hae?” JB asked, th
