Krystal's POV

"Can't you stay still?" Victoria told me for the nth time. I couldn't help it. Mark is a really good student. He does whatever the academy asks him to do. But because of me, he did what he did.

"I'm just worried, Vic." 

"Well you shouldn't be. Mark-sunbae is one of the best students here. They can't punish him. And because of what he did, not one of them bothered you."

"But..."

"He's here."

I saw Mark enter the cafeteria looking awfully calm. I saw most of my classmates tremble at the mere sight of him. Who wouldn't be? There are only 5 students in the first circle and he's the best one among them. He just sat down on a secluded table and just stayed there. I must admit, he doesn't look good. Did the Council punish him? I immediately bought a couple of snacks and went near him.

"Mark. Let's talk." I bravely said.

"Fine. But not here." He replied and I led him towards the rooftop. "What do you want?"

"Thank you..."

"For what?" 

"Here, I bought some food. Eat up."

"You brought me all the way here just to eat?" He said trying to act annoyed but I knew he wasn't.

"Just eat." I insisted and pushed the pile of snacks towards him. "You know, no one bothered me today.Well, it's not like they asked me to be their friend but my day was a lot quieter. Thanks."

He did not say another word. He just ate silently and I just watched him consume everything I bought for him. And after everything, there's one more person I am thankful of having.
