He sat on the stone tub’s edge folding paper boats, he learnt this from her many years ago.
She was excitedly running towards him, a rare display of emotion from the young girl. In her dainty hands was a stack of unbound paper.
"And what do we have here?“ He questioned as she stood before him, bouncing on the balls of her feet. He placed away his novel and settled himself comfortably on his throne.
“Do you know that when you fold paper, you can make things out of them?” Hye Ryung seemed very pleased with herself. As if for the first time, she knew something he had not.
But Gwi was not going to give in to her that easily, “Who do you think I am? Give it here.“
Hye Ryung’s small smile dropped, of course Gwi would know, he was a vampire who had lived over a hundred years. Disappointed, she offered him a piece of paper from her small stack.
"See here,” Gwi begun, “It’s a square, but when I fold it into half, it becomes a rectangle.“
”… That’s not what I meant! My lord must not know then!“ Hye Ryung broke into a small smile again. It was a precious look on her and Gwi made a mental note to more in future.
"I learnt how to fold a paper boat today,” She declared while setting aside her stack of paper, “I’ll show you.” Sitting by the steps, she begun to fold a piece of paper. Soon enough a small paper boat formed, “See?” She beamed.
Picking up this minor skill was no feat for the great Gwi, as soon as she finished her boat, Gwi had already made one of his own.
"You learned that fast…“ Hye Ryung said in awe, receiving the paper boat that Gwi held out to her, "Do you think they will float? I haven’t tried to see if they can float on water…"
