Summary: Gwi x Hye Ryung if you squint. 
Based on the weird bath scene in episode 2, referenced some themes on my previous fic Paper Boats

There were many things Gwi knew he was, stubborn, sadistic, powerful, mischievous and perhaps a little vain. Just like how courtesans enjoyed soaking in a milk bath, he rather enjoyed a blood bath. Victims were usually young girls or boys whose parents sold in exchange for a bag of gold. Today he was presented with a young terrified girl who was sitting near him nervously.

“Humans, their greed knows no bounds… All disgusting creatures…except for one…” His thoughts trailed off as he reminisced about a young girl he once took care of. 

Gwi could not entertain his thoughts for long as a more pressing matter was brought to his attention today; the lustful scholar. He sat on at the edge of his small pool and started to fold the yellow flyer into a boat, a skill his once young Hye Ryung taught him before. The girl in front of him seemed to be about Hye Ryung’s age when they first met, perhaps she could be his new source of entertainment and he eagerly went to test her reaction to him.

“Should I tell you something funny? 120 years ago, there were men who tried to kill me. The crown prince... He found a secret plan and wrote down a method to kill me in his memorandum. That is why, I got rid of all of them; the crown prince and the books.  But it seems the person who wants me dead has reappeared again.”

The girl started to get more nervous, fidgeting in her seat.

“Look behind you.”
