APPEARANCE : 

— HaeAh didn't always look the way she did. Instead of changing the way she looked completely however, she's taken to enhancing what was already there; She used to be very unkempt in almost every aspect but that wasn't entirely her fault. As an idol trainee, she learned all sorts of things both big and small about her image and how to best upkeep her overall look. From untamed and damaged hair, to clean, polished, wavy dark brown hair. Tired eyes, to lively ones. Chapped lips to baby soft lips. Servere acne to completely clear, healthy skin. It all made a difference in ways she'd never imagined. From hating herself, to acceptance and self-love. All it took was some tlc, and that really made the difference.  
HaeAe walks around with make-up on at all times whether its a complete minimal look, or an over the top, bright eyeshadow and cat eye. She's always wearing jewelry on her ears, neck, wrists or fingers and always has her nails done. She makes sure that not a sigle inch of her is unkempt like she used to be. She doesn't do this to look good, she does it because she's comfortable with herself and she wants to show off herself to the world, to advocate a good, healthy lifestyle. 
HaeAh, refuses to dye her hair, or partake in surgery of any kind. Piercings aren't off limits though, neither are tattoo's. In fact she's got five on her left ear, and eight on her right ear (*/*). She believes that if you get a tattoo, it needs to be shown off, not hidden. So, her first tattoo was a daisy on the inside of her right middle finger (*). She followed it up with an ellipsis on her left middle finger nuckle (*). More to come with time I guess.      

FASHION STYLE :

— HaeAh is more of a skirt or dress kind of girl but when there are instances when she's more inclined to wear pants, so yeah...she does own a few paisr of pants too! She isn't the type of person who will wear normal hoodies, unless they're a little dressy as most of her wardrobe consists of less casual and more dressy things.

PERSONALITY : Amongst her tight-knit group of friends, she's a favorite. It isn't for her on-stage persona, but for her fun-loving mom personality that keeps people coming back. As a group co-leader, HaeAh has that oomph that a good leader needs. She's the group's rock. When everyone is feeling down, she's the one to pick them back up and when they're in need of reminding, she's also there to make sure that they get done, what needs to be done. She's somebody that anybody can rely on and come to for unjudgemental advice. She's calm in the face of hardships, which helps in times of great stress. HaeAh is always ready to help too, she can't keep still so she also needs people to remind her that she needs to slow down sometimes.

When it comes to the stage, HaeAh can be pretty strict. She has her goals set, and nobody is going to ruin them for her; and when it comes to her group, she refuses to let them fail. They've all gone through the hardships to become idols, so it's only befitting that they do their absolute best to show the world who they are and why they're meant to be where they are. She comes off as stoic and fierce because that is also a part of who she is. It's like an entirely different person yet the same one, as well because all the effort she puts in behind the stage finally comes to its peak. All the tension she'd built up relies on that single moment, her performance and it needs to be bold, and it needs to be strong. So, she's the most impressive to fans who meet her in real life. There have been countless comments on social media that say "the ice queen is a real soft girl!" and that much is true.

With that being said, there are times when she can go too far, as it's too easy to fall into the leader role. She'll boss her group around and get annoyed at them whenever they aren't trying their best, or having an off day and she needs to step back to remember that what they're doing isn't always easy; everybody has their dog days and she needs to be supportive, instead of the ruthless perfectionist. That's why she's come to make protocols for herself, when she gets too deep into her leader mode. She takes a moment to herself and finds ways to make her teams experience a little less difficult. She tries her best to cater to what they're going through so that the team can find a way to work through it together. After that switch, HaeAh's power to restore the harmony comes into play.

Though it may seem that HaeAe is at the top of her game, that's not to say that she is. Just like anybdoy else, HaeAh has worries of her own. She is super self-conscious about her image. She's one of the members who has really bad anxiety before she goes up on stage. It makes her anxious when people speak about her badly, and it gives her anxiety when people are speaking about her in a good way too. Her anxiety is one fo the reasons her persona is icy. She takes negativity and criticism to heart. HaeAh also overthinks too much, often wondering whether what she's doing is acceptable or not. And that isn't about being an idol, it's more of the simple day-to-day things that she keeps quiestioning and for somebody who rarely judges others, she judges herself heavily. Therefore, she really doesn't step outside the realms of her comfort zone, not even for the ones closest to her. She gets hurt and easily defensive if somebody close to her criticizes her habits, beliefs or traditions.

Sometimes HaeAh gives too much of herself and although that's not entirely bad, it coincides with the fact that she craves the approval and appreciation of others. She questions why she gives so much and recieves so little in return? But life isn't supposed to be a give and take. She has a hard time believing she's a good person because of how much she wants to feel like she belongs.
 

BACKGROUND : As a young child, Na HaeAh was the one voted to be most successful in the future. Well, she's not there yet, but she will be! Her story starts before she was potty-trained. She was born to Na AhYoung and Na Haesun (mother and father, respectively). Her mother Youngmi, was a ballet instructor who owned her own studio in Jeju-do and her father, Haesun was a military sergeant. Her father was a hard worker, and HaeAh spent a lot of time at her mothers studio. She watched the girls and boys sway around on their toes all day and even found herself mimicking the movements until her mother one day asked if she was interested in learning. HaeAh learned quickly, and she was determined. She looked down on herself when she couldn't do what the other ballerina's could do. No matter how hard she tried, she always had trouble meeting the beats, or keeping with the rhythm. None of the techniques available to her worked.

Within the year, HaeAe was diagnosed with a Con Amusia that would later come to be known as Beat Deafness. What's the difference between Tone Deafness and Beat Deafness, you may ask? People who are Tone deaf can recognize beat and move to music on time, but they cannot precieve pitch. People with Beat Deafness on the other hand, can distinguish between tones and sing in tune. The relevation was both enlightening and frustrating to a girl who was in love with the grace of dancing. What a curse!

HaeAh would continue trying. She wasn't a quitter. As frustrating as the entire situation was, she came to know and figure out ways to better help herself keep a proper beat pinpointed.  Through vibrations of the music, and by knowing a choreography in counts, she makes an effort to be on target. It helps, of course when there are people who go out of their way to help her when she needs the extra push. HaeAh kept up with ballet classes, even if she was behind, she was still progressing.

There have been many times she had been turned down or denied a chance becuase of her Con Amusia, but thats never been much of a reason to quit it's only been a sign that she's needed to keep trying. Instead of thinking that her Con Amusia is a weakness, she's always thought of it as a blessing; something that makes her different and stand out from the crowd.

HaeAh fell in love with kpop when she heard about Baby V.O.X. She was four and her mother used to blast their music and dance around the kitchen while she made breakfast. From then on, she couldn't resist it. How happy it made the two of them. It birthed her dream to become a kpop idol, so see her parents dancing to her music with smiles on their face. The thought only ever left her heart warm and happy.

When I say best friend, I mean best friend. Yena and HaeAh have known each other since they were in diapers, their fathers served in the military together, so their wives hung out A LOT. When it came time to move into an actual house, it was fate that the lot next to Yena's was available, and HaeAh wound up moving in right next door! Yena is HaeAh's rock, the reason she kept on going, even when things were super tough.

Both met in the ballet dance studio owned by HaeAh's mother. Both had their dreams of becoming idols, and both have succeeded thusfar getting to where they need to be. On the path there, SeolAh was the only person HaeAh knew that was going through the same thing as she was; they both knew how hard the entire oredeal was and that they could lean on one another. When their schedules permitted, they would meet up and vent about what bothered them and they came up with ways to blow off all the stress. They support each other wholeheartedly now.

TRAINEE LIFE  : 

— Becoming a trainee was a total godsend to somebody like HaeAh. It was the start of a new chapter to her life, one where her struggle to find somewhere she belonged came to a close. She knew from the moment she signed her contract that this was where she belonged. That's not to say that she wouldn't struggle, because she did. She struggled a lot during her trainee years, and she'd struggle a lot more until she made it to a point where she'd be chosen for a line-up. But, along the way, she did make some unforgettable moments and friendships that would last a life time, and amongst all of it, she now has a second family that will walk the path with her, support her and love her unconditionally, the same way she does for them.

 

A lot of her trainee days, consisted of pure dance technique with minimal to moderate amount of vocal/rap revisions. Her voice wasn't the problem, and could easily be worked on. HaeAh was grateful to her collegues who went out of their way to help her find new ways to work with her disability.

WHAT DO THEY THINK ABOUT THE DORM LIFE : HaeAh isn't all that bothered by living with her group mates, she just wishes osme of them were a bit less sloppy and helped picked up a little more around the dorm.

CHORES THAT THEY DONT MIND DOING : Making/preparing food for the group to eat, keeping everybody on schedule, nurturing/being there for her members, cleaning up around the dorm whenever the group has some free time.
