APPEARANCE : 

— Benz' appearance can be described as pretty average. He is not very tall but not the shortest either. He is goodlooking but not really outstanding. He isn't very bulky but not exactly slim either. With other words, average. Benz' hair is naturally black, which he usually wears down or combed slightly to the side. since his eyesight isn't the best, the boy is usually seen with glasses on his nose. Benz has both his ears pierced but other than that, he doesn't have any body modifications.

FASHION STYLE :

— While Benz likes to look at art and is interested in fashion, he prefers comfort over looks. Most of his closet is black anyway which can be paired with basically everything so he doesn't have to worry about things anyway. other than the piercings in his ears, Benz isn't too big on accessoires, he thinks they're usually a bit unpractical.

> perfectionist, hardworking :: whenever something isn’t perfect, Benz can get pretty annoyed. If he wants to master something, he puts all his work and effort into it and expects others to do so too. This can cause for some tensions from time to time. He doesn’t mean to cause any harm with it but he just wants everything to work out for him and his group. Though it's not always that bad, because of this trait, he is able to deliver great content.

> stubborn, rigid:: once he laid his eye on something Benz won’t let go of it. He can be stubborn and it’s not easy to change his mind. Even when he knows he’s wrong he won’t easily give in either and just keeps insisting he’s right. This makes him kinda childish from time to time. When he doesn't get what he want, Benz might whine.

> mysterious, calm :: you probably won’t see Benz jumping around in joy whenever he likes something. He usually keeps his face straight and it’s hard to read him. That’s why people tend to call him mysterious. It’s more like the aura around him because he will tell you clearly what he likes, dislikes and such. He might come over as a bit distant, but he isn’t really. He just has some trouble showing with his body language how he feels.

> caring, emotional :: even though he might be a bit mysterious and looks pretty cold sometimes, Benz is a rather emotional guy. He is a person that’s easily touched by small gestures and loves others a lot. He cares a lot about his family and friends and will tell them that a lot (since he’s not good at showing them that).

> kind, respectful :: Benz is a person with quite some good manners. He is polite and usually puts others on the first place. He is friendly towards strangers and tries to make them feel comfortable around him though he might be a bit awkward so his efforts might sometimes fail. Also he won’t easily talk bad about others behind their backs.

> colorless :: this was Sunlight Entertainment’s biggest worry when they debuted him. Benz kind of lacks that little bit of color that would make him stand out. Due his calm nature, he sometimes looks a bit dull and uninteresting to others, so he doesn’t really catch a lot of people’s eyes even while being part of a group.

> greedy :: Benz wants a lot, especially fame. If they would be number one on the search engines, he wants to be first place on a music show. When they would achieve that, he want to be first place on the national charts, international charts, awards. He wants it all, almost to a point he lets his life get controlled by it. He tries to be happy with the things he achieves, but deep inside, he just wants more.  

> honest :: Benzwill say what he thinks with no censorship. He is quite opinionated and has the strong need to share it. For example, if he doesn’t like your new hairstyle, he won’t hesitate to tell you in all honesty because he would want you to do the same to him. His words might hurt sometimes and usually when they do, Benz will apologize immediately afterwards.  
 

BACKGROUND :

Benz is the second and  youngest son of a doctor and a saleswoman, so he never had something to worry about. As child he was pretty conceited, he just had to point his finger and he would get it. Though when he was send to kindergarten, it sometimes was a problem. Whenever the teachers would deny him something, Benz would whine and eventually cry until he got whatever he want. 

When he got older this bad habit toned down a little bit, he was older and "cooler" after all. Benz was pretty popular in school, though it was not sure if people actually liked hanging around him in the beginning or liked his possessions. Anyway, it gave him the attention that he wanted, so whether they liked him or not, Benz didn't really care about it and just enjoyed playing with his classmates.

At the age of 6 Benz started to take guitar classes, originally he wanted to drum, but his parents didn't allow that at first. Which is understandable, no one wants to hear a 6 year old guy drumming all day long. He could start drumming if he finished 4 years of guitar. First he thought it was unfair, of course, but after a few classes, he actually started to like it. From then on he dreamt of becoming a rock star.

Though he had to study first. His parents sent Benz to an international school, thinking it might have some advantages in the future, but to be honest, it was like every other school. Benz was part of the school band and occasionally sang some songs with the group after their main vocalist left.

It was one of his friends in the band that introduced Benz to the whole phenomenon that is kpop. Of course he had heard about it before and occassionally he listened to some popular songs. But this person just fed him so much content that he actually got into it more and more. It even came to the point that he and his friend joined some auditions, as a joke. But was it actually a joke at this point? Not anymore. His friend got accepted in a company rather quickly and decided to give it a try and that was when Benz realized, he might actually wanted to pursue that dream as well. he auditioned for several more companies like JYP, SM, FNC and eventually Sunlight, who accepted him in their little family.
